Questions & Answers

Is there a distinction between this and the superspeed golf training system - Is it a long drive (with the same color heads)?

Yes! The clubs are 45" in the men's Superspeed training system. The long drive clubs have a total of 48 holes. 75". The Long Drive option also adds 5 grams to both the light and heavy "clubs."

Now that I'm 70, I'm having trouble swinging a golf club - I exercise and consider myself to be in excellent physical condition for a senior! Do you believe this plan will be successful?

Hello, yes, the system is very effective. For example, after using the Super Speed for a few months, Phil Mickelson increased his driver's speed by 5 mph. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Martin

What are the women's set's weights?

225g yellow, 255g green, and 290g blue

Is there a user manual for this product?

Hello, the product comes with a brief instruction manual; however, more information can be found on the Super Speed Golf website. Martin

In just five days, you've increased your speed by ten miles per hour
5/5

It appears to be effective. As an older golfer (55) who is now playing with his 20-year-old son after a ten-year layoff, I believe that my short game and putting are returning to form (I used to be in the low single digits handicap), but I have lost (at least) two clubs distance and am rounding in the low 80s. I attribute some of the yardage loss to poor mechanics (which I'm still working on) and getting older, but hitting a 7 iron in from 140 yards while carrying a driver around 210 yards hurts. (Back in the day, a 7 iron was 155 yards and a driver carried 230 to 240 yards, giving me the chance to hit a couple of par 5s in two and avoid hitting woods into par 4s, giving me another four shots or so improvement - All of this was accomplished using outdated technology). Despite technological advancements, I appear to be regressing. So I ordered a swing speed monitor from Amazon (and double-checked my driver's mph, which was around 90) and my son half-jokingly suggested that I might need senior shafts. My latest club fitting was about 12 years ago and my driver speed was in the high 90s then when I was scoring mid 70s on a good day so about 10 drop. I recently purchased the superspeed set and have been practicing for the past five days. So far, I've had some interesting results using the level 1 protocol. My first practice showed a maximum swing speed of 93 with the lightest clubs, and a reverse swing speed of about 60, which felt very uncomfortable. After 5 days and 3 sessions, I'm swinging at around 104 right and 85 left (which still hurts). The speed of my heaviest club is in the mid to high 90s, which should be comparable to my driver speed. What I believe is that as I progress to heavier clubs, my sequencing improves, and the extra weight helps me time better with the step swing drill, allowing me to generate more power with my hips and legs (it reminds me of my younger man swing). This, combined with maximizing speed with the lighter club, is acclimating my body to the maximum speed at which I can swing. My goal is to increase my driver speed to the mid- to high-90s, resulting in a 230-yard carry driver and a 150-yard 7 iron with a reasonable smash factor. If I could get the ball in the middle of the club at 100 mph, I could theoretically get 240 carry! I was skeptical at first, but after 5 days, I believe this definitely improves speed. While some of the improvement may be due to me "recovering" my old swing, I am not sure if this would have occurred without pushing the envelope with these superspeed sticks. Overspeed training makes sense from a scientific standpoint (I practice karate and we do the same things to increase speed). You could probably make your own set, but I'd be concerned about nuts and bolts escaping from the duct tape. Personally, I believe that the swing speed device (which costs around $120) is necessary to establish a baseline and track progress, as well as the $200 for the speed sticks, making a total investment of $320 to regain 10 mph a good deal. Especially if I can sneak a drive past my son every now and then. br> - expression of surprise UNEXPENSIVE! br>After a few weeks, when I've had a chance to see if this speed translates to the course, I'll update this review.

I've been doing the starter protocol for three weeks now, and I'm very pleased with the results I've seen so far
5/5

Because my driving is my weakest part of my game due to my slower swing speed, I finally decided to invest in the Superspeed Golf training system. br>br>I've been doing the starter protocol for three weeks and am very pleased with the results so far. Prior to beginning the training, I had dry ball data from a launch monitor that showed an average club head speed of 92 mph. br>br>After three weeks, I've been seeing high 90s and low 100s, and my driver has even reached 108 club head speed. I also bought the swing speed radar, which I highly recommend because it gives you immediate feedback. br>br>It's also worth noting that I'm 29 years old, athletic (though I don't work out regularly), and my golf swing is unrestricted. I have an 11 handicap and use fairway woods or hybrids for most of my approach shots, which results in a lot of scrambling on my course, which is 6500 yards from the men's tees. So I like to think I've got a pretty good short game. br>br>Just training my body to sequence better and swinging harder at the bottom of my swing has been extremely beneficial. I know it sounds crazy because I've heard people who hit it long say things like "swing harder," but I've never experienced what it's like to try to swing harder - I thought I was swinging harder, but I guess I wasn't. When you combine lighter weighted clubs with the speed radar, you get immediate feedback on how fast you're swinging, which translates to faster club head speed. br>br>Due to the cold weather in upstate NY, I have yet to hit golf balls, but I am excited to see how many yards I can gain with the increased clubhead speed and possibly even more speed as I progress through the training protocols. br>br>I'll give you an update soon, but for now, I'd strongly recommend this to anyone looking for club head speed, as I did.

With the driver, increase the speed by 10 mph/30 yards
5/5

Golf training aids are a hit-or-miss proposition. These are genuine walking sticks. I'm 30 years old, have a ten-handicap, and a swing speed of 90 miles per hour with a driver. After six months (and sporadic use of the superspeed sticks), I've increased driver clubhead speed to 100mph, gaining 30 yards. Every club in the bag has grown in length since the last time you used it. The handicap has been reduced to a number less than eight. The increased distance makes me feel as if I'm playing a different game. The only drawback is that you'll have to get used to flying greens with your irons. For a while, your yardages will be off as you adjust. br>br>Buy a swing speed radar to use during your training sessions. It's difficult to tell if you're swinging effectively or not without the radar. "Oh yeah, that was whippin'," you'll think after a few swings. The day's best! " Then I looked down and noticed how slow it was. To get the most out of these sticks, you'll need immediate feedback.

This is something I should have purchased years ago

I've only had it for a week, but it's a great product. I'll keep this review up to date for the next six months. As I progress with this item/program, I'll give it another eight weeks. Since using this product, I've noticed a better weight transfer during the down swing, as well as a better ball flight when hitting real golf balls at the range (east coast weather isn't ideal this time of year). When it comes to swing speed, I've noticed a 2 mph increase. This routine isn't particularly difficult if you exercise regularly, but it will get you sweating. Week 2 has begun, and I will provide a more detailed report on the outcomes. br>Recent changes: I'm on week 5 of my program. 6 and about to move on to the second protocol/level 2. My swing speed has consistently increased by 8 mph. So far, I've been pleased with my progress and have stuck to the routine; I've also begun to incorporate some core training at the gym, which has helped. So far, good results for a 53-year-old, and I'm having fun with the workouts. After using it on a regular basis, I was able to increase my swing speed by 15 mph. I've also begun incorporating core training into some of my gym workouts. Because of my age, there are days when I struggle, but the distance is paying off. If you want to improve your swing speed, this is the product to get.
