I recommend that you enroll in a class. Start with your grip and hit 1/4 and 1/2 swings 20 times at 1/2 speed to work on mechanics while watching YouTube. Align your feet with the target using the rods. I also like the putting rods. Good Luck
I rarely respond to comments, but I thought this one was amusing. I bought these rods because they looked like they were stuck in the grass and had a pointed end. That is not the case, and I had the same issue when I tried. I chalked it up to a learned lesson and put them to work on ground alignment chores.
There are two alignment rods in this listing.
There is a sharp plastic point at the end and no cover, but the rods are housed in a plastic tube. Although the sharp ends are extremely sharp, they will stick to the ground.

Today, I got these. Each rod lacks a sharp/pointed end, which is disappointing. I needed to put one end of these in the ground for a drill I wanted to do. Although the product description makes no mention of whether they come with a sharp end or not, based on the reviews, it appears that some people received them with one and others did not. The booklet that came with them, as well as the video on the Amazon product page, show that they have a pointed end. They only have two flat ends, each with a removable rubber cap. They'll suffice for any drill that requires me to place the rod on the ground. Just keep in mind that, based on the reviews, getting a pointed end appears to be a hit-or-miss proposition. I've bought other brands in the past, and almost all of them had a pointed end (which is critical in any alignment rod). Otherwise, you'll have to use a lot of force to get certain drills in the ground (and leave a bigger hole in your local course's practice facility's grounds). lol).

What am I supposed to say? They're sticks that you can sit on or bury in the ground. But, to be honest, I only used these every now and then to re-align my body. I went out and shot 1 under for the first time in about 2 years after about 2 hours (accumulated over several trips to a range). (For those curious, mine did have a pointed end to stick into the ground) Would gladly take that return on investment any day.
I used to use one of my clubs for daily practice, but I was always afraid of damaging it or leaving it on the ground afterward. I practice on a mat, so I can't poke it in the ground to control my shoulder swing plane, but I do lay in at an angle to my target path to ensure I have an inside to out swing. I always have these in my bag. br>br>Be careful when re-inserting the rods into the clear plastic tube, as the black tips of the rods may catch on the edge of the tube hole and pop out.
When set on the ground (in my case, with one of the sticks pointing toward the right), it helped fix my slice, and I practiced in the backyard with golf wiffle balls, simulating the swing path this would put me on (hitting toward right field). I'm hitting the ball much more squarely and straightly now after a few sessions. I also do around 30 reps of slowly dragging the stick in this plane to develop muscle memory for the right-to-left swing.
They are of excellent quality and are presented in a neat manner. Alignments are useful for a variety of training and explanations, but these are nearly identical to a pair you can get for under $10 at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, and other similar stores. If one end had been sharpened for takeaway alignment, these would have been more useful.
However, they are exactly as described, and a set of blue ones cost only $12 at the time I bought them. Other than that, if you're on a budget like me and don't want to settle for bright orange driveway markers, these will suffice. Ps, you could sharpen one end to aid in burying them.
They've been in my possession for nearly a year and are still in excellent condition. The colors are bright and distinct. With a little denatured alcohol, the sticker on the sticks can be easily removed. I chose pink because, for some strange reason, it is less expensive than the other colors, so check out the different colors and see if any are less expensive before you buy.
