It would seem that would be the main method of measuring it. There is no compulsion to use it that way, you could have it 20' tall if you wanted it that way. Essentially, it would be like a batting cage but would have a smaller net mesh opening if desired to also block golf balls up.

I'm going to use it as netting for our chicken coup. Furthermore, it is extremely durable and provides an additional layer of protection from predators, but the chickens also enjoy it because they can play on it.
