Despite how much I like the feel and performance of these balls, I can barely rely on their durability. In the attached photo, you can see how the balls take on a dull beige color after just one round of play. The object you see here is not dirt or any other debris. There is no way to wash it In the higher areas around the dimples, there is a noticeable fade in the paint. These balls become ugly during a round and all my playing partners can do is laugh at them. I expect more from a leader in the industry who charges almost twice as much as these golf balls. The 2018 season will be my first time playing with AVX balls from Titleist. These are the behaviors that I have observed with the Titleist AVX balls I have played this year. Besides the new ball today, I gave it to a playing partner to see if any type of gear I was using, such as my golf clubs or maybe my golf glove, could contribute to discoloration of the ball. Not at all. On my playing partner's Titleist AVX, I experienced the same problem. During my time with these balls, they did not appear to be as durable as a ProV ball. The ball manufacturer, Titleist, asked me to send them this photo as well as others, so I sent them that as well before posting here on Amazon. This is not a Potential customers should beware. I can only advise them to do their research. There are some people who might dislike the durability of the paint on these balls, unless they don't mind tossing a new ball every few holes. The following follows The following day after I submitted my original 2 star review, I heard from Titleist In exchange for sending me a box of new balls to replace the ones with bad paint, they agreed to send me a replacement set. It would be good if these worked result, I have raised my rating to 4 stars from 2 stars.
Update #2 I will support any company that stands behind their product. Replacement balls will be sent to Titleist in exchange for the defective balls in the picture. Two promises were made at the beginning It will take four weeks to get your order. The four weeks that passed without any communication prompted me to contact them. A representative apologized and promised they would increase urgency and get the project done within 1 month The shipment will arrive in two weeks. There has still been no communication concerning the shipment or balls for two more weeks. Even though Titleist was optimistic they would do what they promised, now I have serious doubts about the project. My rating has been reduced to three stars as a result. I'd like to see a better level of support from Titleist.
60 years have passed since I first picked up a golf club. Playing with the new AVX ball is the best experience I have ever had. It's longer and much softer around the greens than it needs to be off the tee. For Senior players, it is an excellent ball.
Because I hit the ball very high, I am attracted to the flatter trajectory of this ball. Those of you looking for a book that you can remove the cover from are not going to find this to be suitable. Because I do not expect to generate a lot of spin with my irons and do not count on it when I play, the ball's low spin characteristics.
This ball spins less, but feels like a Pro V1. It was excellent off the driver and there was less spin everywhere, even around the putting If you need to hit the ball longer and straighter off the tee while willing to sacrifice some backspin on the approach shots, this is the option for you.
It has always been a struggle for me to hit the ball The distance between my house and work is approximately 260 miles These yards off the box are up in the air and they are 270 yards high. In the hopes of lowering my trajectory, gaining some roll, and adding some distance, I tried these. Not at all. I did not alter my flight path in any way. If you have a swing that is too upright, there is no solution except to change it. Therefore, if you are looking for a miracle cure for high trajectory shots, this is not what you're looking for.
The AVX has been a great purchase for me since I started playing from the senior tees. Despite not knowing why companies change the balls almost once every year, I do know it is better to buy a new ball at a lower price than a used one. In general, if you like the softs from Callaway as well as Titleist, this may be a great ball for you. Whenever I think about it, I keep going.
It has great spin around the greens thanks to this new version 2020. A ball with this spin is definitely LOW SPIN. It has a very soft feel to it. We stay down, and the flight doesn't take off. It is great for windy days and has a firm running fairway. As well, I was turned on to You can try this with the Pro V1x (Left Dash). Having a low spin flighted higher is better than a low spin flighted lower. I did find it firmer at first, but it was very easy to get used When it comes to woods and driver shots, the Left Dash adds a good amount of distance. I think AVX will be a ball that quite a few people play with. The Titleist Left Dash Pro V1X can only be ordered specifically from them. There is no restriction on where you can use the AVX. In the event that you do want to decrease spin rate, please do so. It is hard to choose between the two options.
I'm all for green packaging and reducing garbage, but this came in the green box rather than an Amazon box, and it was absolutely ruined when I tried to give it as a Christmas gift. Although I was fortunate to have the smaller boxes I could put them in the gift box, I was disappointed in that aspect. It's a good ball my brother - Golf is how she prefers to spend time.
