To hold the rubber vise clamp, it would have to be placed in a standard bench vice. The external 0 would then be held firmly. a 0 or a 5" The barrel has a diameter of 625". You'd be left with two free hands.
Hi,br>You'll need a way to secure the clubs with a clamp. I used a vice, mineral spirits, or a solution sold with double back tape to secure the grips. On YouTube, you can find videos that show you everything you need to know. For less, go to grips; they have everything except vice.br>Blessings, Richard.

I'm not sure what rod size to use. It will, however, firmly and without movement grip any golf club shaft.

This product was obviously never used as intended, otherwise it would not have made it this far. It was most likely only constructed and advertised. Take a look at the bad reviews and decide for yourself. The opening of the shaft is far too small. Even when working near the head of the club, where the shaft is small, it takes a lot of force just to get it into the thing. It is impossible to get the club inside near the handle, where you need to be to regrip a club; I was finally able to get the club inside at a point half way up the handle, but the clamp was spread so wide at that point that it was a V shape and clearly wouldn't fit nicely in a vice. The "Wedge Guys" response to this is to put a warning in the descriptor, "be careful not to overtighten," because if you put it in the vice And it's clear that some people have done just that, hence the caution. Wedge Guys, you should be ashamed of yourselves. I'm not going to buy anything from you ever again. Later addition: br>br> I returned it and purchased a MAZEL unit with a diamond-shaped shaft opening instead. The design is much better. That is the one you should buy. This isn't something you should buy.
Because the club shaft diameter is smaller at the head end and larger at the grip end, the product is best suited for working on the clubhead end of a golf club rather than the grip end due to the small diameter of the hole. I'll try to make it work for regrippong clubs, but it'll be difficult. To illustrate, I've included some photos. I only gave it three stars because I bought it to regrip my clubs, and I'm not sure how well it will hold up when spread out so widely. I think it'll split, but only time will tell.
It pairs well with my garage table vise, allowing me to cut and remove old grips, such as an old Super Stroke 3. It can't move if it's at 0 degrees Celsius. In fact, I tried to pull the Super Stroke off by dragging the work bench across the floor, but the shaft would not move. It was the final piece missing from my garage club regripping setup. Simply order it and stop paying to have your clubs re-gripped.
The vise clamp is not "rocket science," but it is a heavy-duty piece of equipment if you plan on replacing your golf clubs' grips or heads. Why risk causing a shaft to be ruined? You provide the vise; all you have to do now is attach the heavy-duty rubber protector to the shaft and insert it into the vise, and you're ready to go. Great price, and I expect it to be misplaced or lost before I need to replace it. Thank you for making such an excellent product.
This is a small table vice that comes in handy for holding small items. Clamping to tables and adjusting to desired positions are simple tasks. I installed golf club grips using the vice. The rubber inserts used to clamp the table to the table are the only drawback. They're too soft, and they should be made of a more durable rubberized material. Aside from that, it's a useful little vice to have on hand in case you need it in the future.
It's been re-shafted and re-shafted again. With this clamp, I was able to grip several sets of clubs. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and it's a must for this kind of work. br> The only thing I'd change is to make it an inch longer. Most vice clamp jaws are slightly longer than this one, and I believe that if it were longer, you could get a better grip with less pressure.
The design is acceptable, but it is difficult to use for grip application. It's more for practicing installing clubheads and hosels, as its smaller diameter allows it to only fit near the shaft's tips. As the shaft diameter increases, the rubber clamp spreads out too much, making it unsuitable for regripping but ideal for clubheads. It's not a big deal because it's relatively inexpensive.
This vice clamp has been used to regrip my clubs for years. This one, on the other hand, I purchased for a completely different reason. My Son's hood support rod keeper had broken, so I figured this vice clamp would do the trick. YES! I attached the vice clamp to the top support over the radiator with automobile trim double sided tape, and it works perfectly. Because no one has most likely used your product for this before, you might want to market it.
