When I attempted to apply a different brand of tape after installing more than 10 grips, the tape was not good for me. (We had plenty of solvent on hand) it was nearly impossible to press grip over the tape. My third attempt was about 1/3 of the way on and I gave up I had to pull myself away (not an easy feat). It appeared that there was too much glue or something like that in front Then I wiped the tape off with solvent and added a sealer. A second time I attempted to attach the grip. On this occasion, I got to about 1/3 of the way. I pulled off, cleaned again and re-applied the glue. Applying sprays & abrasives The grip was pushed all the way to the side. My next step was to order a different brand of grip tape and gloves Perfect! Thank you very much.

The glue used in the installation of the grips didn't work after using the Dynacraft Grip Solvent first. The grip did not work when I tried to install it with Mineral Spirits. For more information, I visited wedgeguys. com, but it simply states to use a Wedgeguys nonetheless sells their own brand of tape which I use, but we don't make this available to the customer in the ordering process. In addition, I would say that this tape is not 6 mil thick. Painter's tape is each 5 inches wide or larger, while most masking tape is 5 inches wide or larger. The thickness is 6 mils. When both sides of this tape are removed, you are left with a very thin translucent tape. I am very disappointed in this tape and I do not recommend it.

Starting over was a new experience for me Wedge Guys was the company that gripped my clubs last year. I had to order new grip tape through a different company this time around. It is not something I would do The reason is When the grip of the club is covered with Wedge Guys tape, it fits evenly on the shaft. Unlike the other supplier, this one has a thicker tape. Although I applied as much solvent as I could, the grip was impossible to slide on. In addition, another supplier doubled the price There was a lot of difficulty peeling off the double-sided tape. Application of Wedge Guys tape is quick and easy. The film is easy to remove. The only tape I'll buy from now on will be from Wedge Guys.

I rarely install my own grips, but because of Covid, I was required to do so. I was not sure of what grip tape to buy, so I read some reviews and chose There is little knowledge of or expectation of anything other than, " I hope everything works!". As I had done for the tape, I did the same for the What happened to the longer tape I thought we had? My mistake was that I did not overhang the tape and put it into the butt end. I found that that didn't work very well since the grip would move when I pressed on it. I switched over to the 1/4 overhang and never had an issue with the tape not sticking and moving. As for the tape being too short for the whole grip and it not sticking or moving? I've never had any issues and understand why it is shorter than the grip. Install it under your grip so that it does not hang out from under there.

I will say, however, that it is a bit thin, but one can increase the thickness of the strips by just layering them on top of each other. Please keep in mind that once the grip is installed, you must make the alignment adjustments immediately. For a finalized product, the grip, tape, and solvent all need to be allowed to settle for at least a few days. I swung the golf club prematurely and ruined the settling process. I found the product to be a great purchase and highly recommend it.

In the past 25 years I have replaced grips with the wrap around tape, but due to reviews, I would like to try this one. Initially, Wedge Guys tape is too wide, resulting in 1/32" overlap that needs to be cut off. Then, new grip was applied halfway before the bottom of the new tape came loose leaving a mess that required me to cut off a new $9 Callaway grip for repairs. Since I don't have tape for my driver or grip, I'll have to play tomorrow without any. Taking up time and money is a waste.

When I have applied new grips to my golf clubs, I have utilized Golf Grip Strip Tape from Wedge Guys, which I have ordered from this vendor twice. All my orders have been received It is easy to apply the tape strips because the double adhesive tape strips are applied to the shaft of the golf club and have easy peel strips on both sides. Having used this product and vendor in the past, I am likely to do so again in the near.

This tape strip is cut precisely to the correct size. The ends meet without any gap or overlap, and the backing easily peels off. Taking your time and being careful not to wrinkle or bubble the tape are essential. can easily be applied to tape when wetted with solvents and can remain in place after drying. The clubs have always been in their original position after 24 hours, and I've never experienced any issues ever since In case the tape does not set up, alignments afterwards may not be accurate. The re-use of this product is trouble free A gripping experience.
