I needed a replacement seat that was better ventilated, had a solid backrest, and raised me about 4 inches. This stadium seat appeared to be a good fit, so I ordered it, but I braced myself for the inevitable modifications I'd have to make to make it fit. br>br>I just received it, and it is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It does not require any modifications and sits flat on the existing seat. All I had to do was salvage the strap from the old backrest and use the existing buckles to secure the seat in the front. You can still fold the seat down easily with it attached this way! If you already own this kayak, it's a no-brainer to purchase this seat.

I was tired of lugging around heavy chairs that didn't provide much comfort. Finally, something that is both convenient and comfortable has been discovered. We have two of them, and I can easily carry them both in one hand (they fold up nicely). They can be used in a bleacher or on the ground, which I do frequently. Couldn't be more pleased!.

There is only one flaw. This purchase was made after a thorough investigation. We went to a lot of sporting goods stores and spent a lot of time online. We chose this CMT seat because it had a wider seat and a taller back than the majority of the others. br>However. Even so, it wasn't enough to persuade us to buy. We spoke with someone at the CMT's main office. We bombarded them with inquiries. CMT's lady was extremely pleasant and helpful. She made no attempt to persuade or sell us anything. br>That was enough to persuade us. br>We've sat in the chairs a lot, sometimes three times. It's been 4 hours since I've gotten out of bed. There is never a tired or sore back. br>My wife and I are approaching 70 years old, and she suffers from arthritis in her knees and legs. She is a huge fan of hers. The chair, he claims, is extremely relaxing. br>br>Only one point of criticism. Because of the steel and canvas construction, this chair is more difficult to transport than most chairs. br>However, I would strongly advise you to purchase this chair. I was very pleased with my purchase, and I used it to attend a football game on Friday. With the strap, it's simple to carry. It has a solid and comfortable feel to it. It's a win for me because I've used it in both JV and Varsity games. I sat on the bare bleachers for the first game of the season - By the second game, it had become tedious. The second week, I sat in an old stadium seat that I inherited from my parents. , ok, but this could use some padding. My new Cascade seat has been with me for three weeks. Ordered on Friday after the second game and received the following week in time for the third game. Note that these seats come in three different weight levels: 4 lb light aluminum, 6 lb heavier aluminum, and this one. A steel seat weighing eight pounds is also included. This was chosen because of its light weight with the added sturdiness of heavier aluminum. I'm glad I did because I saw people in distress all around me. bending or breaking, in comparison to other seats that appeared to be similar but were lighter. Seats by the same company are available at Costco, but they are the lighter 4 lb version, and I didn't need two because they come in a package. This was well worth a couple of extra dollars.

When sitting in the chair, there is some give in the seat, and you don't feel like you're going to fall over. (My favorite feature of the chair was its backrest. ) The material appears to be of a high-quality, soft-touch material. It's simple to fold and unfold, and while it's a little heavy to carry, it has a comfortable soft grip. br> The reason for my low comfort rating is that they make it appear as if this is a large seat when it isn't! br>For the ladies out there, I wear a size 16 pant and have slightly larger legs, so my legs hit the uncomfortable bar on the side of the chair, which was visible in my photos. I also had my husband, who is 5"11, 210 pounds, and wears a 34 waist pant, sit on it, and the seat was almost too small for him, with his legs hitting the bar and not sitting within the "bars" in the cushion part; if you are a petite woman or want to lay a blanket over the seat, I would definitely recommend. Unfortunately, we had to return it in exchange for a chair with no exposed seat bars.

I ordered regular width, and it is much narrower and heavier than I expected. I only have one other stadium seat to compare it to, which is wider and lighter weight but has a bar across the back, so I was looking for one without a back bar and this seemed like a good option. Because of back surgery, I am unable to lift heavy objects and must sit with my back supported. br>br>The wide width seat, in my opinion, would be better for an adult, but I'm sure it would be even heavier, and the price would skyrocket. It's just a pain when we're already carrying so much gear to my son's football games and my daughter's football and basketball cheerleading practices. Every week, we spend hours in the bleachers, and I'm not even trying to sit because I'm squinted in between narrow bars on my back and hips. So I'm back in my old chair with the bar across the back, and my husband is in this one because he's not as picky as I am. )br>br>However, given that it's made of, it appears to be of very high quality. What is the heaviest material there is, I'm not sure. Lead? That was just a joke. The fabric/canvas is also of good quality. I just don't think it's quite right for me.

I purchased the wide version, while she purchased the standard. When sitting on a bleacher, the chairs are well-made and provide excellent back support. The front hook is strong and allows you to lean back a little. My only gripe with the chairs is that the rubber bumpers under the side supports could be a little thicker. The 1/4" bumpers do not raise the chair enough to prevent it from bottoming out when seated. I was able to re-enact the scene. Even though the chairs are bottoming out, I like the back support they provide.
