I don't like how close the standing bars are to each other. Although there is plenty of room for you to squat, if you put plates up on the sides you will hit the plates, posing an unsafe situation. That means either you do not rack your plates on the tower or you squat in front of it without a safety bar or you don't rack your weights. In which case I would defeat the purpose of having a squat rack to help me safely squat heavy and a squat rack on which I can rack my weights. In summary, both of my main requirements have been completely compromised with this product. I considered drilling new holes on my own to create the space myself, but I can't do that because the supports would be too short to connect the standing bars to them. The cage is narrow on the inside, which is good in that it takes up less room, as has been mentioned by some. There is a problem with less cage space in that it is difficult to use the posts to hold the plates and to squat within the cage. The weights and posts kept hitting the post all the time, so I got a stand alone weight rack and took off the posts. The angled weight rack is too long and could easily be made half the length, which would create another issue with the narrow cage. This rack has a lot of parts that need replacing, so I was wondering if there is a good company to buy more parts from. In terms of construction, it's a good cage, and I like the pull-down door A nice benefit is the option to up and dip.
