Questions & Answers

Hello, I'm primarily interested in working the BACK of my legs. Is this machine capable of working in this area? Do they include weights as well? Thank you very much! ?

When you say "the back of your legs," I assume you're referring to your hamstrings. This machine does not target that muscle; instead, it focuses on your calves. There are no weights included.

The weight holders appear to be for standard plates on the XMark website, but they also come with Olympic adapter sleeves. Is that what you mean?

Olympic weights will be stored in it. It's a fantastic machine, and it's built to last. Lighter weights appear to be heavier than they actually are, requiring less effort.

Could someone please tell me the dimensions of the package in which this item will be shipped?

It's about 3 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 6 inches thick, with a weight of around 70 pounds. I'm going off memory because it's been a while since I received the package.

What is this machine's maximum weight capacity?

It should be able to hold at least five 45-pound plates on each side, totaling 450 pounds. But you'd never be able to lift that much weight. As a result, it'll be able to support a significant amount of weight.

Seated Calf Raise (XM-SCR) from XMark Fitness 7613)
4/5

Genuine Fair and balanced assessment: br>br>In my home gym, I wanted to include a calf raise. There are many options available, but in the case of the current pandemic, this was the only one available. In comparison to similar competitor machines, the price was a little higher than I wanted to pay. Initial Thoughts: br>br>Initial Thoughts: On a pallet, the shipment arrived. The boxes were double-boxed and well-packed. There were no broken pieces in my shipment. Installation/Directions: br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: br>br>Installation: It took roughly 30 minutes to complete the installation. The instruction manual was easy to understand. br>br>Durability/Applicability: br>br> The quality is excellent for use in a small gym or at home. This is not a commercial piece in my opinion. I've discovered a couple of annoyances. br>1)The Olympic bar adapters will not "clamp" down with spring clamps. br>2) When inside the spring frame, the adjustable slide piece (see photo) is a little wobbly (in English, this is the piece that moves to adjust the location of your knee pad). The pad moves around like a loose piece when you press your knees against it. To stabilize the gaps, I had to cram plastic shims in between them. br>br>Overall: It's a little pricey in comparison to similar products, but I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to expand their home gym. br>br>*I was not asked to review the calf raise by the company. br>**I was not paid for this review.

If only the Olympic adapters weren't quite so long
4/5

This is a fantastic machine. It was incredibly simple to put together and is extremely durable. The attached (with screws) plastic feet are especially useful. Because they are only friction fit, almost every other piece of equipment I own is always "throwing a shoe. " The seat and knee pads are thick, and there are enough adjustments to fit my 5'7" frame. The stupid Olympic adapters are my only gripe and the reason for the four-star rating: They're a mile long and make the machine unnecessarily wide, so I swapped them out for the much shorter ones from my lat pull-down machine. down machine to keep the width of the unit within reason. I don't think I'll ever need 14" of plates with the way this thing works. br>br>With the stubby adapters installed, this machine is as close to perfect as it gets. Overall. a lot of joy.

The position of the handles isn't ideal
3/5

Other than that, everything is fine. This machine works wonders for calf muscle development. The biggest issue I have with it is that the lever you slide over to catch the weights when you're finished is way in front of you, but the lever they give you to help you raise the weight once you've reached failure is way back. It's nearly impossible to use both levers at the same time when using heavy weight and approaching failure, which is required to reset the machine and exit safely. I've resorted to looping my weighed dips and pullups belt/chain around the closest lever so that I can simply stand up and lean back to pull all the weight up while sliding the catch lever over. That should be clear enough. This machine is ideal for low-weight, high-rep exercises. The way the levers work makes it difficult to use heavy weight and go to failure; if they just shifted the forward-most lever back a little, it would be a lot easier.

It went above and beyond my expectations
5/5

I thought I'd take a moment to share my thoughts on the XMark Seated Calf Raise Machine (XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM-XM- 7613). I've had it for three months and feel like I've had enough time to get to know it. br>br>I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this product, especially given its low price. The majority of my equipment is of commercial gym quality, but I do have a few home-use pieces (one of which is this). It's constructed of thicker steel tubing than I anticipated. The welds are actually quite good in quality. The finish is a nice flat gray with an even coat, and the seat is big enough for a big guy and very comfortable. The seat stitching is flawless, with tight lines (no sloppy wavering) and no fraying. Even with a heavy load, assembly was a breeze, and it performs admirably. br>br>The only drawback (not enough to detract from a five-star rating) is that the polished steel (not plastic!) (not enough to detract from a five-star rating) (not enough to detract from a star rating) (not enough to detrac The Olympic Plates' collars, which are made in China, are not of the same high quality as the rest of the machine; their welds are typical of "made in China" equipment. Furthermore, the diameter is smaller than the ends of a typical Olympic barbell, and I have yet to find a clip that will snug down tightly enough to prevent the plates from sliding around while in use. To be honest, this isn't a major issue. It's more of a nitpick than anything else. br>br>Overall, I've been very pleased with this seated calf raise machine, and I believe it is truly worth more than it costs; it's a great value for the money!.

Collars are not compatible with the Olympic adapter
3/5

Because collars do not fit on the Olympic adapter, you must listen to plates clinking together while knocking stars off. I'm not sure why clamp and spring collars don't work together. I called customer service and was told to call another number because I didn't have time to wait on hold and chase people down. As a result, I'll just handle it. The machine itself is well-made and durable.
