Questions & Answers

Will I be able to use this if I have standard 1 inch weights? I would rather not waste my time. In addition, what is the maximum weight I am allowed to ?

There is an Olympic size adapter for fitting 1 inch tubing. A maximum load of 300 pounds would be possible

Does the bar used to load plates have a thickness? There is a hole in the center of my plates of 1 inch diameter. ?

I am not sure of the diameter or thickness of the bar, but I have metal plates and plastic covered cement plates and all work on it. I like the calf machine.

Is the foot rest too far away from where the seat is? It seems that it's too far away from the seat. ?

There is no way to adjust the seat.

You can use this with standard one-inch plates too, right?

Greetings, this item supports Olympic weights and not just 1-inch weight There will not be enough space on the weight posts for plates that are 1". Please accept my sincere thanks

This is junk
3/5

There is no possible way anyone could write a 5 star review on this unless they were paid. Although some hardware nuts/bolts were mislabeled, the assembly wasn't that hard. Even someone who isn't very computer savvy that critical step of securing the two bushings. There is so much play and slop when tightened. I used some washers between the frame and both bushings for that purpose on both sides. These were beneath the seat and under the safety catch as well. This is great I thought it would solve the problem. Despite snugging the units as far as they can go, there is still some play to make the whole thing As well as having play on one end, the cross member that attaches to the frame so it holds the weights also has play on the other. There is not enough space for washers to be inserted and the steel is too thick to bend so it remains With only 90 lbs on the posts, the knee pads are as tight as they can be, but they twist and turn so that the pads collapse and the edges dig into your legs. There is a noticeable wobble at the base of the unit due to the loose bushing mounts. Additionally, even when on level ground, the base legs do not make any When you use Just absolute junk it feels like the unit is going to collapse when you have 90 lbs on it. wasn't expecting commercial quality, but if this weren't a death trap, I would be satisfied for what I paid for it. Honestly, I'm going to just toss it in the trash at this point and eat the $100 since I've already used $100 of my time on it, and that's $200 out of pocket. As a result, I am going to drink a six pack to get into the right frame of mind and then unbolt all the things, pack them up, and ship them back so I can recoup at least the purchase price. This is the worse product I have ever purchased.

Customer service is 1 star, however, the product is unsafe and low in quality
3/5

The area was easy to get A customer service representative always responds within a short timeframe. The cons are I found it very flimsy. I had to stop working at 15 pounds per side before it started shaking*2. The weightbearing middle piece brushes the lever (weight catch) off when performing an exercise. This means the range of motion cannot be addressed in full. This is dangerous when you are doing calf raises to fatigue as it takes A LOT of effort to set the lever back! I am not sure if the price is "cheap" when you consider the time and effort it takes to unbox the equipment, assemble and then remember to disassemble it for the UPS store to accept it. The fourth point. very strong chemical smell that lingers in the air several days after I open the can. Note 5. The weight post cannot be attached to the middle piece, the bolt will not slide easily through the middle, and there is a structural flaw. Would it be possible to use a mallet to force the screw This is 6. Exercise can be painful on the shoulders as you perform it! I feel it more on my hands/legs than my calves so I'm avoiding them for now. (Needs a much thicker cushion.

You will build your calves with it
4/5

Despite the ridiculous welds, they do not appear to pose an immediate danger. To do this, you should examine the machine as often as possible to ensure everything is working properly. In the best case scenario, this should last at most a couple of years. Due to my satisfaction with the price point, I have given this item an overall rating of 4 stars I paid a fair price for it.

The welding is horrible, but it works
4/5

You get what you pay for with this product, although it does work well. I don't think the picture does it justice the foot piece is welded on crooked and it looks terrible.

I think the price is worth it
4/5

It would be unfair to evaluate this product by only taking into account its negative comments. I would rate it 4 out of 5 stars. This seated calf machine consists of two issues Directions are not as clear as I would like and it is not the kind of machine you would find at a gym. The price of this product compared to other more expensive versions is hard to beat. If you are looking to get calf muscles and want to save money, this is the one to get. In addition to its job, it also does some nice things. Though it may seem flimsy at times, it is all about the control of the weight you are using, just as with any lifting exercise. You can keep the weight stable with the 1" clips that come with it since the 2" plate adapters are not necessary. It comes with 2" plate adapters. To make sure this unit is stable, put it on a flat surface. Otherwise, you might have some troubles. As a result, it's a wonderful addition to a home gym, and does not take up a lot of As I said, I am glad I spent more on this unit than on the more expensive ones available. Just keep in mind that you do not need to load plates on this machine. Simply, if the exercise is performed correctly and in a slow, controlled manner, you will see the benefits with just adequate weights. The machine is great as a last exercise to be completed near or at the end of leg exercises, when just your calves are doing all the heavy lifting.

A good product considering its price compared to those that cost more
4/5

After having it for a few weeks, it seems to hold up well and the results are clearly noticeable. In general, I find the pad isn't very supportive, but I usually adjust the placement to make myself more comfortable. It's a great deal for the price, but some people may have difficulty assembling it. You'll want to take the time to read this.

Caution should be used when using
3/5

Generally speaking, you get what you pay for, but if it's advertised to hold 440 pounds and the frame starts flexing at half of that, I wonder how long it will last. know I wasn't going to get a bit of equipment that was going to be commercial-grade, but I did anticipate it would be able to support at least half.
