This bench appeals to me on a whole. It's sturdy and easy to put together. But there was a snag. The bolts that are provided on the bottom feet of the bench extend beyond the padded feet and make contact with the floor first. Unfortunately, I discovered this on a lovely hard wood floor, and the bolts left me with some significant dings to contend with. Shorter bolts or thicker padded feet are both required. Aside from that, the fabric covering appears to be a little thin; time will tell whether or not it holds up, but it may be fine.

I recently made the decision to save some money and buy home exercise equipment. After researching all of the different brands and models, I decided to go with the Steelbody Flat Bench. I wasn't expecting much for the low price, especially given my previous gym experience with only commercial-grade equipment. Thankfully, this product met or exceeded my expectations. It's both rock solid and light weight, and the engineering is top-notch - It has real rubber feet on all four legs, so there's no risk of it tipping over, and the narrow head of the bench is very comfortable for doing flys and presses. If space is an issue, its light weight allows it to be easily stored away when not in use. The bench is covered in what appears to be a breathable, heavy-duty fabric that is flexible and shouldn't tear like typical vinyl covers. This product has exceeded my expectations!.

This bench is sturdy, has a good height and length, and I like that I can easily stand it up and roll it into my closet for storage. The cushion is soft to the touch, and the material is easy to clean after each use. The only flaw I can think of is that it sheds steel slivers on the floor, which is why it only gets one star. I work out in the kitchen, which is a high-traffic area where most people are barefoot. And, despite the fact that the floor is swept daily, some of these nasties still manage to get into my shoe. This is infuriating. I understand what you're thinking: why don't you just put on some shoes? I prefer to exercise barefoot and do not believe that I should be required to wear shoes to protect my feet from steel shards. The presence of steel shards, rather than my choice of footwear, appears to be the issue. I've since covered the exposed steel frame with duct tape, and I'm hoping it will hold up. I'm not sure if the steel was coated with something strange or if I just got a bad bench, but it stinks.

Yet, thanks to the built-in wheels, it's light enough to move around with ease. It was simple and quick to put together. The hardware is of good quality, and all of the bolts are perfectly aligned. The bench cover has a nice textured feel to it. Instead of being printed, the logo is embroidered. There was a slight rubber odor, which is typical of Chinese rubber products, but it wasn't unpleasant and dissipated quickly. The padding is firm, which is beneficial to those who are taller and lift heavier weights. Overall, it's a pleasant surprise, and I'd gladly recommend it.

The bench isn't shaky and is made of solid rock. The wheels were the one thing I completely overlooked. I assumed it was some sort of gimmick that would be useless and inconvenient. I WAS WRONG, BY THE WAY! They've completely changed the game! They're in the perfect spot to perfectly balance the bench when you move it, so it's almost weightless! Engineers collaborated with them on a project! When the bench is not in use, you can place it on the wheels end and it will remain completely supported, with no wobbles or other issues. I wish I had wheels on all of my other equipment. I had previously purchased a bench for nearly the same price, but it was a POS that was wobbly and had a terrible cushion. I should've spent a little more at the start and gotten this one, because it now costs nearly twice as much because I bought that one first, then this one. The money spent on this bench was well spent.

It has a weight capacity of 800 pounds. Simple to put together, with well-marked parts and an allen wrench included. You must bring your own adjustable wrench with you. It took me less than ten minutes to put this together. The square tubing used for this is extremely durable, and the nuts, bolts, and washers are of higher quality than those found in less expensive products. The padding is nice, and the front handle on the wheels is a great feature that all benches should have. This is the most durable home gym bench I've seen that isn't too expensive. My bench is set flat on a non-slip surface. It works great on a padded floor, but I also use it in my basement gym on a padded floor. This purchase has given me a lot of joy.
