Questions & Answers

Is it possible to use Powertec accessories on this bench?

Is it possible to swap your Honda's engine for a Chevy? With a little engineering, some custom parts, and a welding torch, you can make it happen. Why would you expect two completely different companies' products to be designed to work together? As far as I'm aware, Fitness Reality sells a cage to go with their bench, but that's it.

What is the length of the bench from the headrest to the C-shaped frame at the bottom (near where your feet rest) without the leg attachment? Be exact?

65 inches in length I've gone through a lot of For quite some time, I've been using this bench every other day. This bench is a high-quality piece of gear. It is something I strongly suggest. Putting this weight bench to use I've lost 260 pounds in the last three years thanks to a gym-quality treadmill. I've reclaimed control over my life. Best wishes for achieving your objectives.

What is the pad's length and width?

It measures 12 inches in length. This, I must say, is of commercial quality. In fact, it's one of the most beautiful I've ever seen! It's sturdy and well-constructed!

Is it possible to adjust the leg supporters so that you can do Lat Pulldowns with your knees under them?

It makes no difference if the bench isn't properly weighted. Always keep in mind that whatever you're lifting must be countered.

Minor annoyances on a good bench
4/5

The instructions for putting it together were straightforward and easy to follow. The bench is sturdy and well-built. In terms of the leg extension and preacher attachment, I'm undecided. Even at its lowest setting, the preacher attachment is quite high. Leg extensions are enjoyable, but leg curls are unpleasant. Leg curls can be difficult to perform because of the angle of your back while lying on your stomach and the pads above your knees. If space hadn't been an issue, I would have bought a stand-alone plate-loaded leg bench instead. br> Amazon had a few reasonably priced options. Another annoyance is the lack of an Olympic plate holder or, at the very least, an adapter with this bench. The weights bang back and forth when Olympic plates are used on the leg attachment with a standard plate holder. Although I ordered an adapter, one should have been included in the price. Although my review is harsh, I am very pleased with this purchase; it is a high-quality item.

I'm pretty sure this will be the last bench I buy for our home gym
5/5

It is strongly advised. This bench came with a leg developer attachment, which I purchased recently. I've had it for just over a week in my home gym. It's a monster, weighing in at around 140 pounds with the leg developer attached. The attached rubber and ball bearing "scooter" wheels, however, make it relatively easy to move around. I don't think I'll ever be able to break this thing. Strong and simple to adjust, with plenty of steel and a well-designed design. Also included are a well-padded seat, backrest, and leg supports, all of which are covered in high-quality vinyl. It's also very simple to put together. br>br> There are only a few parts and fasteners to deal with. In addition, two stamped steel wrenches were included in the leg developer box, and two drop forged steel wrenches were included in the bench box. My only other tool was a rubber mallet, which I used to help line things up in a couple of places. The fasteners are grouped on a piece of cardboard, labeled by assembly step, and vacuum sealed to the cardboard; the "assembly instructions" are made up of seven diagrams and very few words. However, the drawings are so clear and the parts are so clearly labeled that anyone should be able to put this together on their own in under an hour. br>br>I bought a less expensive bench for my then-15-year-old son to use with a set of Power Blocks about 4 1/2 years ago. I wasn't sure if he'd keep up with the weights. Up until that point, I had mostly relied on a glide board. We had worn out that bench after 4 1/2 years. My 19-year-old son goes to the gym every day to lift weights. I began using that bench primarily as a leg developer, but I began to use it more and more with free weights as time went on. The bottom line is that the cheap bench served us well, but the frame eventually broke and the vinyl seat covering was coming apart, as it was made of lighter sheet steel and bolted together rather than welded. br>br>With this Fitness Reality bench, we've taken some significant steps forward from our previous bench.
1. ) A seat that is big enough for my big buttocks.
2. ) A more tapered backrest under the shoulders allows for more arm and shoulder movement.
3. ) Seat and backrest have a wider range of adjustment. br>4. ) Better padding and vinyl coverings in all areas. a lot better It's very relaxing.
5. Leg lock is used to work on abs. That wasn't available on our previous bench.
6. Taller users will benefit from this leg developer. When I used to do leg extensions on our old bench, my feet would drag across the floor. I now have about 4" of clearance and can move through my entire range of motion without being restricted.
7. ) Our new bench can handle 180 lbs of steel plate, whereas our old bench could only handle 100 lbs. It was clear that 100 pounds wasn't going to be enough.
8. ) Increased range of motion and a 180-pound maximum preacher curl weight.
9. ) A backrest adjustment that relies on gravity and a metal stop rather than a spring-loaded release that forces you to bend down is faster and easier.
10. ) Legs with a wider spread for added stability. With 100 pounds on the leg developer, unlike the old bench, this bench does not tip forward. br>br>I'm pretty sure this is going to be the last bench I buy for our home gym. Recommended without reservation.

The bench is good, but it needs to be adjusted in height
4/5

This is a big deal. Most workout needs should be met by this heavy-duty bench. Both the seat and the backrest can be adjusted independently. The pad is firm, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I would have given this five stars if there was one area that could cause a problem for some users, but there is one area that could cause a problem for some users. I measured 20 and 3/8 inches from the floor to the top of the pad when it was level. The competition benches range in size from 16 to 24. 5 to 17. This one stands at 7 inches, so it's a bit of a tall one. This is one instance where a height adjustment would have been extremely beneficial. For many people (including myself), this means that you can't do a bench press with your feet flat on the floor. Performing a press while "tip-toeing" The act of "toeing" is neither comfortable nor secure. A good piece of equipment aside from that.

Excellent bench, excellent quality, and I would strongly recommend it! I completely remodeled my home gym, and for about a week, I debated between purchasing this bench and another bench from a well-known brand
5/5

My Fitness Reality power cage arrived on the same day I decided on and ordered the Fitness Reality bench. I was not only impressed by the quality of the cage, but also by the instructions, which were designed by whoever deserves major props. This company has instruction manuals and processes down to a science, if not an art, and their instructions on how to build their products are unrivaled. To make matters even better, both the power cage and this bench are of excellent quality. I'm very happy with the two major purchases I've made from this company, and I would recommend it to anyone. The bench is well-built, the cushions are firm enough, and I like the placement of the leg cushions. I did not purchase the preacher curl accessory, but I will most likely do so in the future. br>br>In conclusion, I would strongly recommend this product for your home gym.
