As I stated in my review, the stability is bad. I weigh around 290 pounds and press close to 250 pounds on this bench, and it's terrifying. I've bent the bar that supports your back, and it also makes a loud popping noise. It's fine if you're doing 225 pounds or less, but once you try to max it out, it becomes unstable. Still, it's a very useful machine, and the squat rack can be used for other purposes!
Yes, the bench is flat, but it also inclines and declines to meet your needs.
Yes, I'm 6'1" and it fits me perfectly. To make room, I usually have to fold the backrest all the way down.
This weight bar's assembled dimensions are L x L x L x L x L x L x L 83" x W. 47". The width will work, but the length will be too long for the 6ft mat.

The seat is bent after one chest day, which is easy to put together and looks great. The bench's seat and back are made of flimsy plywood. I could hear it cracking and feel it bend under my glutes during my first workout. The bench is perfect in every other way, but the seat is already squandered, so it's useless to me. $260 has already been spent.
I was unsure whether or not I should buy this set after reading the reviews. I was looking for something that would allow me to do curls, situps, bench presses, and squats all from one low-cost weight bench, and this was the only one that fit the bill. I would have had to spend an additional $150 on other equipment if I hadn't gone with Marcy, so I decided to give it a shot, and here are my thoughts. br>br>When I first opened the box, I noticed a lot of scratches and chipped paint on a lot of the pieces. Personally, it makes no difference to me because it will be 10 times worse in a month! The front and back of the feet (which hold the bar) have these plastic covers, one of which is broken. I'd prefer it wasn't, but it doesn't detract from the usability. When using the equipment, it performs admirably, but it does have a flimsy feel to it. I used a 45-pound bar on the squat side and a 35-pound weight on each side for a total of 115 pounds. I thought I saw the posts that hold the bar up move a little when I set it down after squats, so I tugged on it a little, shook it, and tried to see how loose it was, and yes, things did move a little, but considering I'm using 1" MMA mats, I wouldn't expect a small amount of weight to hold it down super well. Bench presses and putting the bench together gave me the impression that it was flimsy. br>br>First and foremost, assembly. It was fairly simple, but the manual only listed the small parts (screws and such) and did not specify which piece was which number. So when it said to use a certain part number and that part number looked like 5 other pieces, it took me a minute to figure out which one was correct, but there's ultimately a production issue. ALL of the stickers and logos are either not adhering properly to the metal or have been damaged during packing and shipping. Even the metal backing on the bench press bars is peeling away and feels more like pressed aluminum than metal. The entire post on the left side moved at least an inch when the bar was placed on the supports without any weights on it. I didn't pay attention to the right side, so I can only speak for the left side. br>br>Overall, it works; it holds everything; I added a lot of weights to the bar for squats and bench press, as well as the foot side, and moved things around to simulate workouts; things move, but nothing appears to be breaking; for the price, it's good; however, it could be better. I like it and am satisfied with my purchase; however, I wish it wasn't so flimsy, that the pastic cap wasn't broken, that the instructions were more clear, and that it wasn't scratched. I might have given this a different rating if I could have found similar equipment for the same price with all of the same features. Because it's the only one like it that I've found, and because the cost and usability outweigh the drawbacks, 3 out of 5 stars is adequate. I wish I could add a half-star, 3, to my rating. It's more accurate to give it five stars.
If you try to roll the bar forward without clamping the supports, the bar will come loose and hit your head, injuring you severely! br>The bicep machine does not extend all the way to the bottom. br>If you squad or bench more than 225 pounds, this thing will shake like a mother. Lolbr>br>Ok for a beginner, but not for someone who lifts for a living. br>br>I'm a little disappointed, but I'll come back tomorrow.
Bench press machine that can do incline, decline, and flat work. br>br>Everything works great and is simple to put together, but the barbell support bracket is the only issue I have. If you try to position your barbell before benching (moving it to the left or right), the support bracket twists and can unlock, as shown in the picture and video. This is extremely hazardous and could result in serious injury. So it doesn't move, I'm going to add some additional clamps. br>br>Another problem with the support bracket is that it lacks a rubber coating, causing the barbell to scratch it. I'll need to cover it with rubber. Excellent in every other way.
On February 20th, 2017, I purchased a bench. It arrived in good condition a few days later. It took me less than 2 hours to put this together. It appears to be a lovely set. up in the attic It's made of high-quality materials, is beautifully designed, and outperforms my expectations! I used to powerlift in the 1990s, but I got hurt, had surgery, and had to stop. I'm now 55 years old, 6' 2" tall, and weigh 200 pounds. , and as I enter my later years, I'd like to get my body strength back up to a more acceptable level. THIS IS AN AMAZING BENCH! I like how wide the catches are (there's plenty of room for wide grips) and how versatile they are in terms of positioning. I love how there's a built-in squat rack! Everything is sturdy and secure, and it's simple to adjust for various exercises. I was initially skeptical of the curl bar, so I left it off for a few weeks before deciding to give it a try. Even so, it's well-made! I'm a busy man who doesn't have time to read or write product reviews, but Marcy, this bench is amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH!.
Wow, this is a solid and functional piece for the price ($199 on sale). Obviously not a professional piece of gym equipment, but more than most people could use in their home gym. Yes, the seat wiggles a little, but I don't think it's a problem for me. If you are 6' 4'' and weigh 250 pounds and bench press 350 pounds, I believe this is not the equipment for you. Lifting 200 pounds on this bench is not difficult if you are of average size. It's big and takes up a lot of room, so make sure you have enough room in your location. It looks good, functions well, and is durable for the price. br>br>Assembly was simple but time consuming, with all bolts and nuts wrapped in plastic and clearly marked. There will be no shortages or extras. But, on the other hand, I'm quite useful. br>br>Would give this 5 stars if the illustrations in the instructions were larger and the packaging was much better, as the box was damaged and the contents had some marks on it. Ikea packaging may be a source of inspiration for the company.
