Questions & Answers

In terms of incline and decline, what are the degrees?

I'm not sure, but if I had to guess, the incline starts at 85 degrees, 45 degrees, flat, and 30 degrees decline.

What is the durability of this bench? Is it going to wobble a lot when I do dips on the side?

I'm not sure; I'm 300 pounds and do 70-80 minutes of cardio every day. It's still as sturdy as the day I put it together five months ago, with 90 pound dumb bells. Although I have not used it for dips, I am confident that I could.

What is the true length of the bench when it is completely flat?

52". Simply calculated. This does not include the footrest.

Is it possible to get new leg restraint foam pads?

Because I've only had my bench for a few months, the pads are still firm and new. I'm confident you'll be able to find replacement pads on Amazon or from Bowflex directly.

Do you require temperatures of 30° and 60°? This is a TERRIFIC BENCH, but two useful inclinations are missing: Temperatures range between 30 and 60 degrees Fahrenheit

br>br>You can fix it with a 1" x 4" piece of wood, a few wood screws, and some glue. Look at the images below. br>br>It was about 6" long when I finished it. The angle of the inclination is determined by the length you use. I was too lazy to get the protractor out, but I think it's close enough. It functions for me; br>br> It's very stable and sturdy, so maybe it'll work for you as well.

is not supported by Nautilus any longer. 1 bench. The Bowflex 5 is a new product from Bowflex. One of the benches is in good condition. It appears to be well-made and of high quality. Although the box I received was undamaged, everything inside appeared to be loose and moving around. When I started putting it together, I noticed a rip in the upper left shoulder toward the back when I unwrapped the padded back to install it, which was one of the last steps. It was about 2 inches long, and some of the padding was beginning to come loose. I assumed it was due to the contents of the box shifting during transit. The enclosed brochure states that if you have any problems, you should contact Nautilus technical support at the number provided. I called Nautilus and spoke with a representative who informed me that the Bowflex 5 was no longer available. The 1 bench is no longer a supported product, and it was discontinued in 2008. He reasoned that Amazon must have some unsold inventory. He stated the number three. The number one and the number four Supported products include one bench. As a result, he was unable to offer any assistance and advised me to contact Amazon to return the item. I can't imagine trying to repackage everything and ship it back to Amazon, only to receive a replacement that may or may not work. So I'm going to just use some good old black gorilla tape to patch it up. I would have ordered all three. I liked the extra settings on the 5th bench better than the 1st bench. There is only one bench and four. One bench is more expensive, and the warranty, I assume, isn't worth the paper it's printed on. If you're thinking about buying this bench, you should know that it's made of high-quality materials. Other than the rip, this is a well-made bench, but be aware that it is no longer a Nautilis product. This bench is great if you can find one that isn't damaged.

Bench of excellent quality, simple to use, and extremely durable
5/5

I bought this bench as part of my home gym set-up. We don't have a lot of room, so it needed to be small. The assembly was simple, and if you can put together a small Lego set, you should be able to put this together in no time. It took about 30 minutes to complete the project, and you'll need a knife or a pair of scissors to cut through the packaging. Everything comes with Allen keys to put it together. The "heavy-duty" "heavy-duty" "heavy-duty" "heavy-duty" duty- The "sturdiness" of the frame was obvious, and I wouldn't hesitate to use this bench at its recommended maximum weight (person plus weights) of 600 pounds. It does take up some space once it's assembled and flattened. That's cut down to about 1/3rd in the stowed position. br>br>In the fully declined position with seat lifted, decline sit-to-stand. With the ankle bar, push-ups are a breeze. The rock-solid position is the flat position. The mechanism for raising and lowering the bench is a spring loaded "pull pin" type that allows the upright support arm to glide easily up and down the floor leg - it's very nice to have several options for incline. There is no sensation of grinding or scraping. Once you've found your ideal position, simply allow the pin to pop into place, fully securing the back rest, or twist the same handle to lock the support arm and leg together, eliminating any play. The seat can be set in two different positions: flat and raised. It's high enough in the raised position to fully prevent sliding down the seat while doing incline work, but not so high that it's distracting. When the seat is fully lowered, it is at the same angle as the backrest, making it an excellent base for decline work or decline crunches/sit-ups. The mechanism for the seat is straightforward. To secure the seat in the up position, lift it up. To return the seat to its original flat position, lift a small red lever. I'm concerned that the rounded edge of the seat has a lot of flex, almost as if I'm sitting in my favorite recliner, but I have no evidence to suggest that my concerns are justified without knowing the internal design of the cushion (no, I'm not tearing it apart). The ankle holders are made of foam and aren't particularly soft, but they appear to be durable - In both cases, only time will tell. br>br>The ankle holder folds up for storage, but the mechanism that allows it to fold up also allows for some freedom of movement. If you grab it and shake it, it will rattle and make a noise, but the mechanism appears to be secure, and I expect it to be extremely reliable. br>br>Because the bench's feet are adjustable, you can compensate if your floor isn't perfectly level. Some people have complained about the large gap between the backrest and the seat, and they are correct. When the bench is fully flat, the gap is 4", and when the bench is inclined 45 degrees and the seat is raised, the gap is 2". The back of the chair meets the seat at a 90-degree angle. Bowflex could have eliminated the gap, but doing so would have required a much more complex mechanism, which would have resulted in either a higher cost or a lower quality product. To be honest, I find that my butt rests perfectly in the gap on a flat bench when my ankles are under the ankle supports, allowing the back rest to provide support to the arch of my back, similar to how a good car seat provides just that little bit of much needed support. The closest I could get to a "gapless" feeling was to lie backwards on the bench with my head on the seat and my neck spanning the gap, though even that wasn't ideal; if you need a bench with a small gap, look elsewhere. br>br>Aside from that, the fabric appears to be of good quality, and I have no concerns about damaging the upholstery. It also has a very professional appearance to it. Oh, and it doesn't quite fit through a standard 30" doorway when on the casters unless the door opens fully 180 degrees. Those legs are probably 28 1/4" wide in total, but that's not a problem if you can turn it and pick it up.

The majority of complaints, in my opinion, come from people who haven't done much lifting
5/5

That's why I'm writing to you. When the seat is laid flat, people complain about the gap between the seat and the back, the fact that it isn't a perfect 180 degrees flat, and the fact that some people's feet don't touch the floor flat. Even my girlfriend, who teaches classes at the ymca, commented that her feet barely touched, despite the fact that she is 5'6" tall. I'm 5'9" and none of these are real concerns for me; for starters, your back isn't flat in the first place, and when benching, I push my shoulders back and touch my blades together. Benching is not harmed by the natural arch in the back between the midback and hip. I don't mind the gap, and I've been known to purposefully slide my butt into it. When it comes to my feet, I either put a portion of them on the front legs or the front balls of my feet. When I lay on a bench, I always take the time to get my body positioning just right, so none of these complaints will affect your workout.

I received this bench yesterday and assembled it in about 30 minutes today
5/5

It is a great bench, but the leg support must be removed. It's a lovely study bench with excellent craftsmanship. The XMark Adjustable FID Weight Bench was another bench I was thinking about. Although the XMark bench is less expensive (by about $20) and can handle a higher weight load (1500 lbs. ), it is not as durable. versus the 600 lb. capacity of the Bowflex I couldn't get past the bench's decline feature, which was supported by a fixed/welded leg attachment. It would be difficult for me to mount and dismount any bench with this leg support feature in the front of the seat because I have the heavy Bowflex 1090 SelectTech Dumbbells. Despite the fact that the Bowflex bench has the same support feature, it is simple to remove, which is precisely what I did. If you don't take it off and use dumbbells, you'll notice how much it interferes with your workout. br>br>If any problems arise, I'll update my post. br>(ISSUE): 5/6/2020 During seated military presses, the wood in the lower seat cracked. Wow! what is a piece of a piece of a My seat has become unstable and is no longer capable of supporting any weight. The warranty does not cover this item. BUYING IS A MISTAKE.
