Questions & Answers

I feel like the carriage would slam into the stop brackets when using a cardio rebounder. Is it wrong for me to do this? any of the stop brackets causing an issue for ?

In my opinion, the reformer has nothing to fear In the case of people feeling it hits the stop brackets, you are doing the script incorrectly. It's important that you keep your legs active and position yourself properly to avoid getting hit by it. On ANY reformer, that is true.

In what range does the resistance reach its maximum?

Included in the set are 4 springs. We have two blue items and two yellow items. Compared to other springs, the Blue Spring is resistant to 7-amps It has a resistance of 9-to-28 lbs, while the yellow Spring has a resistance of 28 lbs The weight is 39 pounds. In the spring testing process, the minimum resistance is measured at 15 inches of stretch, and the maximum resistance at 30 inches. This means that at full stretch, you can withstand a resistance of 134 lbs.

I want to set up my reformer near the wall, how far away should I place it from the wall?

It doesn't take much space for a machine to reach its full length. It refers to the width of the space. The space to your right and left will need to be about five feet. It will be necessary for you to extend your arms and legs This means there needs to be some space left on either side. Because this can't be moved once it's already set up, the space where you set it up at the beginning has to be sufficient. It's the best reformer I have ever had You should definitely choose the Aero Pilates stamina brand's version with METAL SPRING if you wish to buy it. I recommend the extra money for the bands, not for the tickets. The only "studio-type" reformer on the market at the time I purchased mine was the one I purchased last year. Luckily, balanced body has since released a moveable reformer called the IQ that is much more efficient, portable, and flexible. It is a brand I HIGHLY recommend. Even with the springs on the body balance reformer you will soon outgrow the intensity of your workout. Both wheels have been replaced twice, and we are confident that the assembly is proper Unlike a studio reformer, it does not have a smooth surface. A company like Balanced Body is known for its studio reformers, and they have done a great job making a home version at

You lay on a cushion, how long does it last?

There are 36" in length on the cushion.

I know the plastic pulleys that come with this are lame but it's cheap
4/5

As far as I can tell, I enjoy using the XP557. own a Club Pilates membership, and I am looking for a small machine to use on my days off. Although I can't afford a balance body reformer like they have at the club, for 1/3 the price of a club reformer, I can buy this perfectly fine home quality reformer This is 1/4 the cost of each one of them. A few of the upgrades have been made based on recommendations from After lubricating the wheels, it was really helpful. I strongly recommend it. It's great, I hate the WD 40 smell. I used an odorless machine oil that doesn't contain detergents, and I was able to solve my problem. As well I wasn't a fan of the pulleys, so I went to Ace Hardware and purchased metal pulleys and lanyards for a few bucks. Getting rid of the old pullys without getting a whole new bolt or a cutter is impossible for me, so I left them on the wall just to remind myself how handy I am. View the photo to see a possible replacement! Other suggestions have been made that I add command hooks for the foot loops, but the fact remains that $7 is not a bad deal for changing out the pullys! The best advice I can give is not to expect it to be like a traditional studio reformer and you won't Even though I'm on a diet, I can still do all the things we do in class, and sweat the same way, and that's As someone who is 34 years old with osteoarthritis in my knees, I know I will have to deal with this for the rest of my life, and I'm okay There's nothing better than Pilates to get your bum going! A NEW UPDATE Towards the end of last year I managed to locate the exact pulleys they use on the really nice reformers in my studio. One more picture is included with the brand RONSTAN. Amazon has them! I got them there! Despite 60 bucks for the pair, I felt cool about it since I knew they were legit!.

It is helpful if you have experience with Pilates and using a Reformer by yourself
5/5

There are a number of negative reviews, but I am not sure why. It's obvious that you didn't purchase a reformer worth $4000 to $5000, so why should the quality be the same? With a price point like this, this machine is great if you have experience with Pilates and the Reformer alone. The more I look at it, the more I fall in love with it. My favorite website for Pilates is Pilates Anytime. There are some advanced moves that you will not be able to do (such as Snake) - however, you can do some moves at a very low level. It won't feel as if you are missing out on performing different jobs because you won't. I had been paying $110 for private sessions for years and that was why I wanted to purchase this reformer. This purchase has been a great experience.

Reformers with studio quality are more expensive, but this one is better for the price
3/5

On my way out, I was going to take the 3 A 4 out of 5. A rating of 4 is appropriate because of its value a rating of 3 would be appropriate because I have some serious concerns with it. Due to the solid reviews for this reformer, I had fairly high expectations for it. If you're used to studio reformers, then this machine is about average. Since I have been enrolled in Pilates studio classes for nearly two years, I feel somewhat qualified to review this book. The cons are The post next to the head rest may not be used for holding onto ropes or holding on to I have found that the shoulder pads are round and quite stiff, and they often cause my shoulders pain as a result of There is no way to adjust the stop distance for the carriage on the return. The longer your legs are, the harder it is. This assembly seems cheap, as the foot bar is too narrow, and the whole assembly is disappointing. In order to remove it and adjust it, it feels flimsy and awkward.
The rebounder jump board has a very small surface area and the elasticness is very It is impossible to find a solid jump board as well. A number of jerks can be felt near the start when little tension is present, which is not a great issue for the return carriage. The springs are not as strong as I would like. I think it would be a bit weak even with all four on. As I press my knees against the platform, I hear cracking, which is alarming. This is probably caused by poor quality of the platform. In addition, the cushioning on the platform is kind of weak and ''Pros'' Overall, I feel it is pretty sturdy and it has lasted me a year. The value of this item is quite good considering it costs 60% less than one of the higher end name brands. It gave me the height I needed for jumps, I have never been close to the top, and I am 6'0". It feels as though the foot/hand holds and ropes are strong. Assembling was not as bad as it could have been. I needed a drill with hex bits to do the job. This was something I did myself in about 2 hours. I'm pleased about how smooth it went. Good enough to the point you are not distracted by it. It's not up to higher end $5k models, but it's still good enough. This tower is at a good height. Overall, it looks good from a visual standpoint. A wood end cap of high quality. This item is easy to move thanks to its wheels. The conclusion is In the case that you are not a super hardcore Pilates expert and are looking for something reasonably priced for your home, this is a good option. I believe that this model is lacking for more advanced users, and a name brand reformer would be more suitable. My experience with reformers has only ever been with high end studio grade machines so I'm I am thinking about seeing how well I am able to do at home. It's highly likely I will upgrade in six months to something in the $3-$4. 50 range if I use it enough to justify it This one is in the 4k range and should be sold. While it gets the job done, it does its job!.

I had to wait until I got a chance to review this machine
4/5

It has been with me for a little over eight months now. This is my favorite. Since I have a lot of health issues, I was unable to do Pilates in a studio because my problems made my teachers either work too hard or too soft on me. It is for my home in hopes that I will be able to gain strength from it. It took me a while to get used to it. I was in need of DVDs for beginners, and the ones provided were just right. In this case, there are three DVDs. In one, there is a short cardio DVD, another shows you how to use a reformer machine and the third is simply an explanation. Adding you to my workouts does wonders for me! A chart of exercises will tell you what springs to use in the reformer and it has a very handy set of instructions. Spring machines are easier for me to use than cord machines, and I'm happy I chose the spring machine rather than the cord model, as I think they'll It is likely that I will buy more DVDs in the future. It's fine. I think it could cater to both very tall and very short people similarly. I am 5'1" and was concerned that it would be too big. But, it fits fine, and it's big enough for both. The strength of my body and the quality of my appearance have greatly improved. One of the best parts is that you can easily adjust the springs or repetitions to gradually increase your workouts. The machine is solid and is worth every penny. I bought the mat for underneath and would recommend it. The machine is huge and requires a lot of space, but it's worth it in the long run. You will see and feel improvements after some time but they will accrue over time.
