Made in the USA, this machine is a workhorse! I made the decision to begin practicing Pilates at home after my Pilates studio closed. I tried unsuccessfully to locate an Allegro 2 machine at first. I took a chance on the Merrithew V2 Max because I was unfamiliar with the brand. br>br>Assembly took about 15 minutes with some help. After that, it was off to the races for me. One of the things I like about this model is that it's used by a lot of YouTube instructors, making it easier to follow along with the videos. The colors of spring are a little out of the ordinary (red, blue, and white), but you quickly get used to them. br>br>It's a bit of an anachronism that the reformer comes with instructional DVDs (who uses DVDs these days?). ), but instructions for putting the reformer together and cleaning it can easily be found online. I had to figure out that the straps adjust from long to short using existing hooks and clips, that the footstrap simply hooks around the footbar, and that there are other small functional features that aren't explained in the documentation or setup videos but that you'll figure out as you use the machine. br>br>Overall, the machine's overall quality is impressive, and I'm glad I took a chance on it.
