PRO: The problem has been resolved, and replacement parts have been provided. br>- PRO: The machine has proven to be both durable and enjoyable to operate. 'Wosh' sound of water: )
- PRO: The seat glides smoothly along the rails. even after 6 months of continuous use!
- PRO: Setting up the machine and storing it against a wall is extremely simple and quick. br>- PRO: Not once has the seller requested that I update my original review!

- CON: The seller was initially unresponsive, and it took a negative review for the problem to be resolved. br>- CON: As one rows, the foot pedal straps tend to loosen. In other words, you'll need to tighten the straps one at a time. In a 30-minute workout, you should do this three times. It's nothing more than a minor annoyance. br>br>At first, the unit I received was defective; however, in the interest of being fair to potential buyers, I've kept the original 1 star review below. Though, in fairness to the seller, who has resolved the issue, and to the overall value/quality, I have changed my rating to four stars. br>br>INITIAL REVIEWbr>================================================================================================== br>I strongly advise against purchasing due to three issues. br>1. The material used to assemble the foot pedal assembly is of poor quality. br>2. The seller's offer is contingent on the buyer's acceptance of the seller's offer Quality control (workmanship and quality inspection) is lacking in the assembly process. br>3. The seller's ability to communicate and resolve the problem is lacking. br>br>Summary: I currently own a useless piece of equipmentbr>The rowing machine appears to be of reasonable quality, and I was initially pleased with the wood quality as I put it together, but I have not been able to put it to its full potential because the right foot pedal would not lock in place. If I apply any foot pressure as one would normally when using the machine, the pedal will slide down. br>br>Seller's ability and willingness to resolve the issuebr>I reported the issue on the same day I received and assembled the machine, which was exactly 10 days ago. I messaged the sellers four times and included photos in each message. The seller always responds quickly and acknowledges the problem, saying things like "we can replace you with new accessories or the entire assembly, please don't worry. " However, no solution or replacement parts have been provided by the seller. The foot pedals, corresponding cover hold assembly, and lock mechanism are of poor quality - br>br>Issuebr> Basically, it's made of plastic and has a lot of dimensions. Underneath the black cover is the locking mechanism. The lock mechanism requires that the cover be flush with the wood board support in order for the foot pedal to be held against the lock latch. br>As can be seen in the images: The left side is correct, with a flush cover and the cover's edge perfectly aligned to the wood board's edge; however, the right side is a different story. The cover is at least 2 mm too wide. The cover had to be screwed onto the wood board (it comes pre-screwed) in order for it to be functional. The technician would have had to push and bend the cover to align the screw holes if it had been assembled. I'm not sure why the technician would do this because it clearly renders the right foot useless. The cover becomes bowed and is unable to support the foot pedal (which must be bent to fit). br>br>I've sent one final email to the seller, after which I'll start the return process. br>br>In order to be fair to the seller, I will update this review if/as new information becomes available. br>br>Thank you for taking the time to read this, and good luck in your search for a rowing machine:.

If you're looking for a reliable source of water, this is the place to go. Before spending money on the more expensive, original wood water rowers, I would recommend Mr Captain as a rower to add to your fitness and fun efforts. I enjoy the sound of water when I row because it is very relaxing. While it is unlikely to be solid wood vs. wood veneer, it is a sturdy piece of machinery. It was simple to assemble, and I did it myself despite my lack of body strength (hence the need for the rower). Everything you'll need to put it together is included. It also comes with a small water pump, which is useful. br>br>Here are a couple of advantages. As the directions are clear, but more so once you've figured it out, here are some suggestions to make assembly easier and faster. br>br>Begin by unboxing your pump and charging it with the included USB cable. To add the water, make sure it's fully charged. br>br>1) Screw set contains EXTRA screws, causing the counts to differ - br>2) When screwing in the Rear Spacer, make sure the latch with the bungee attached is on the BOTTOM (Step 1 image will throw you off otherwise)br>3) Use both allen keys at the same time (one to hold one side of the screw in place while the other screws the opposite screw more tightly)br>4) On the water dispenser (pump) insert/srcew-in the water dispenser (pump) insert/srcew-in the water from the angled hole on the back of the pump to the side of the small metal pipe with the attached tiny piece of silicone at the tip After that, carefully connect the two silicone hoses to 1) the metal pipe's other end and 2) the pump's underside. br>5) What are the "Stoppers," which are black plastic pieces that come encased with all of the screws? Those screwed-up people 6) When inserting the foot pads, note that the "button" you push is the oval plastic piece between the two straps already attached to the foot board; it's super easy to push the inserts in as long as you push the entire button in and not just at the top or bottom. br>br>Shipping was quick, and the two boxes they arrived in made it simple to transport to a suitable location.

(In the gym, I've only ever used a fan-style rower. ) ) I justified the $38 split payments as what I'd pay for a gym membership, right? br>When I was younger, I used to coach Tabata-style workouts. I do high-intensity interval training and paddleboard on a regular basis, but only with covid- 19 I've had to stop teaching classes, and I don't have access to a gym. (The weather in California is finally turning too cold for paddling, and this is PERFECT for my small condo!) It looks great and stores nicely out of the way; it also comes with a cover in case I needed to use it on my balcony. When filled, the weight is all in the bottom, making it very easy to lift into an upright position, and it's also fairly easy to roll around. (Tip tighten the wheels, then back out on the nuts about a half turn until the wheels roll freely)br>I'm a 53-year-old single mother, and it took me about 30 minutes to put it together on my own. You should be able to do this if you've ever put together any Target furniture. The instructions are simple, and I followed other reviewers' advice and plugged in the pump before starting assembly, and it worked perfectly.
