This is not the case. It is a good idea to cut the TUFF Coat roller to suit the size you need for your project. A foam paint brush can be used in hard to reach areas, however it is meant for use in small areas only.

My apologies for the delay in responding. that I sell are shipped through my store via FedEx, and the shipping fees are higher for this method of shipping. My experience with economy shipment options has shown that they come with some problems, such as time delays and damage. Due to shipping costs, the only product for which I must ask the customer to pay is the TUFF Coat Roller. After I deduct fees from selling on Amazon, I am out of pocket by the time I take out shipping costs. Since the TUFF Coat Roller is required in order to apply TUFF Coat if you don't want to use the spray method, I am continuing to sell it. Please accept this as an answer to
To use a 3/8" nap roller, you would use a regular Rolling out TUFF Coat on this roller is the task at hand.

Tuffcoat must be applied with a 2 in. roller, I'm not sure why they don't provide a narrow width, but it shouldn't matter. In corner areas, 3" is required. In some corners, I used a flat corner roller to apply texture, but it didn't seem to achieve the same result as the roller. It is not a big deal as the rollers got pretty close to the edges. As with normal rollers, rolling with this type is much trickier since it will mess up an area if you push it sideways when rolling (easy to fix by rerolling the spot). When using this brush with Tuff Coat, you should watch a YouTube video. The only thing I would prefer about this brush is that it could be half the price. But considering how little I use it for, it's not a big deal. As a side note, I got better coverage than stated by the manufacturer for TC with two coats (adding about 10% more overall.
Using the roller worked well to spread the TuffCoat product. I am pleased with the outcome. When I tried to use a tiny nap roller for a small area, it just loaded up and stuck. Using a foam brush to pat hard to reach areas worked well. After applying two coats, the second coat really lay out better than the first. I was able to clean the roller with water for future use.
The roller didn't appear to have any particular advantages over a regular roller, so I wasn't able to see any benefits. The reason I suspected this was because the roller had come apart while I tried to clean it after the first coat while using a regular (long fiber) roller. After only two gallons of paint was applied, the edges frayed and the core of the cardboard collapsed.
As a result, the particles are held in and distributed well. It is important for this type of paint to have a primer. I always expect Amazon to deliver on time! The company is excellent. The products I've been using for years are great, and I will keep using them.
I used this roller to apply the anti-slip but it did not work with this roller the job came out like I wanted it.
You should not leave home without it. My handles were too big, so I cut them in half to fit with the roller handle that's smaller.
A number of foam chunks were left in the paint from the rollers. It took some time for the paint to dry, so I couldn't see them until they were covered in paint. I am not happy with everything!.
Excellent roller that lasted through more than one laundering of a large project. We would recommend it highly.
