Instead of the plain round foam rollers, I would get this. A black roller with the round raised nodules is a great tool for use with medium to firm applications, depending on how it is applied. To begin with, I was searching for a roller with nubs more like the dark grey one, but by getting the blue one I got it for other, more sensitive areas as well! It's a bummer. This is something I have been wanting to use for a while. There seems to be a lot of thought that went into it. However, the surface is too slippery for the material. It just slipped out or shot out from under me because of that, as well as how hard it is (didn't mind that aspect). This made it impossible for me to use either one. I even tried it on a wooden floor, but it kept rolling not sticking. I used it on a living room rug, a nearly shag carpet, and even on a wooden floor, but I couldn't get it to stick.
