Questions & Answers

What is the procedure for signing up?

This extended warranty was purchased for a Nordic Track that I purchased on December 31, 2019. I registered my Nordic Track on the website, but do I need to register my warranty as well?

I decided to cancel my Amazon treadmill order. Is it possible to get my money back or can I use it to purchase a treadmill from the Nordiactrack website?

I believe you should simply request a refund. If you want to buy something directly from Nordic Track, you won't be able to use your Amazon credit, and the prices will almost certainly be higher.

Is it possible to make a gift of a maintenance plan?

Yes. Simply give the new owner's information when you call. Thanks,

After three years, it has suddenly become a problem that I have the machine in my garage! As a result, I went out and bought a T6 Nordic Track
3/5

On November 6, 2016, I completed a 5 S treadmill. I also bought the assembly kit and the super deluxe expanded maintenance package for three years. The machine arrived on time, even ahead of my scheduled delivery time (thank you, Amazon), and the assembler arrived half an hour before his scheduled arrival time. This is important to note because the focus of my review is solely on the warranty. I bought this treadmill after my previous treadmill's upper computer board and input interface failed and I couldn't get it to start, and I've been on a strict workout regimen for the past two months to lose weight and reverse blood anomalies in my liver and blood sugar. I've had a lot of success with the strategy I've devised. I figured I'd miss no more than three workout days and be back in the gym by Thursday. The tech called me out after completing his assembly to demonstrate how to operate the machine, but nothing happened when he pressed the start button. He gave me the phone number to call in order to resolve the problem. After a 20-minute phone call with Nordic Track's service department, they determined that my drive motor was broken. They double-checked that the part was in stock and estimated that it would be delivered in 5 business days. They also implied that I would be responsible for repairing the machine. I then told her that I had bought this extended warranty that said parts and labor were covered 100% (which I thought should be anyway since it arrived DOA) so I was The connection was terminated after a 30-minute wait on hold (not by me, as I was not even touching my phone at the time). So I dialed the number again and waited nearly 40 minutes to speak with someone. When I discovered that the service technician wouldn't be scheduled until the part arrived, I was furious. When I inquired about the time it would take for the service call to be made, he stated that he had no idea. As a result, I'm going to add a fifth. The part will take 7 days to arrive, and the service call will take an unknown amount of time. If this is the only issue, I'll be out for another two weeks since my machine broke. I was under the impression that the service call would be scheduled within three days of my call and that the technician would have the part on hand; how wrong I was. How much worse will it be if there is a problem during the remainder of the warranty when their incentive is to minimize damage costs if they treat a DOA machine this way? Based on my conversations with them, it's clear that they've oversold these warranties. (It took less than 5 minutes for my call to be answered. ) I would be very hesitant to purchase such a plan again in the future. UPDATE: So, when I call to schedule my third and final service, I'm told that I won't be able to get it serviced until I move the treadmill into my house. That's hilarious because I've had the treadmill serviced twice and repaired once in the garage and no one has said anything. Nothing! So, on my most recent service call, nickel and dime me. Never again will I purchase a Nordictrac. new br>.

Bait and switch is a technique used by con artists
3/5

The plan doesn't appear to include any annual maintenance. This is a classic case of bait and switch. "Repairs and annual maintenance requests are supported directly from NordicTrack" AND "15 point inspection completed annually by NordicTrack trained service provider" were among the features that drew me to this plan. Now I get an email from a third-party provider, not NordicTrack, with a contract that says "PERIODIC CHECKUPS AND/OR PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AS DIRECTED BY THE MANUFACTURER IS NOT INCLUDED. " So this isn't a maintenance plan; instead, it's a break/fix plan, which is quite different.

Worst service, possibly one of the worst services available

It's still unclear whether or not I'll be able to fix my bike
3/5

The feedback has been terrible for the past two months. Background information: Why did I buy the warranty? I bought the bike (NordicTrack GX 3. 0) first. Sears has a total of five. I was concerned about the warranty's short duration of three months, but I decided to take a chance. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was late in picking up the bike and assembling it. The chain was falling off, and I noticed it. I requested service and received a visit from a chain/technician, but the problem was not with the chain; During transportation, the flywheel and other parts were dented. This wasn't discovered until after the manufacturer's three-month warranty period had expired; NordicTrack informed me that this was a new problem for them and that they would not be able to assist me. br>br>As a result, I had no choice but to purchase a warranty to cover my dead-beat car. My fault for allowing life to get in the way of my arrival bike. br>br>Warranty Experiencebr>November 27th, 2017 - I filed a claim for the defective flywheel right away. On the phone, I was told that I would receive the parts in a week or two. The lube and nuts were delivered right away, but the flywheel was still missing. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>b I give up waiting and attempt to contact the plan via phone. The phone system is a complete disaster. Massive menus with no way to contact someone if you get stuck. Finally, give up and turn to an online discussion board. According to the representative, they should receive a shipment "within two weeks. " 12/29/2017 - 4 weeks"br> There is still no word on the flywheel or when it will be delivered. I dial the number and miraculously get through to a live person. I've been told that the shipment must clear customs and that it should be out "within two weeks. " br>1/23/2018 - 4 weeks"br> There is still no word on the flywheel or when it will be delivered. I make another call to the phone system, and after a 10-minute wait, I'm able to get through. After 15 minutes on hold, my call is dropped (could be my phone, but this was a 10-minute call). 15 minutes following a 5-minute interval (It took me 10 minutes to figure out how to use this dreadful system. ) I put a notice on the internet that I'm thinking about calling my credit card company and reporting this purchase as fraudulent at this point. The only other time I've had to use this strategy was when a company went out of business without warning and without refunding hundreds of customers for orders they had already paid for.

No on- They call and walk you through the process while reading the manual on site service
3/5

Nothing that can't be found on the NordicTrack website or on YouTube. When that doesn't work, they try to sell you a new machine that costs $1,000 or more.
