Questions & Answers
It'll be more stable if the box weighs 65 pounds. If you land close to the edge of the 19-pound box, it may tip. However, I'm not sure if it really does weigh 65 pounds.
Believe me when I say that the one I bought has a lot of give and will save your knees.
I own a 65-pound box and have used it for a variety of exercises. I have no complaints about how well it has held up. If you're used to the solid, flat feel of a wooden box, you'll initially feel unsteady and even land strangely. You must balance yourself in this box in order to land safely. I adore it!
That is not something I would recommend. I believe it is heat. The weather has the potential to quickly degrade the cover. Because the interior is foam, it would quickly become smelly if moisture got in.

Every day, there are three sessions. I wanted a foam plyo at home, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a high-end model. I did a lot of research and discovered that this one is extremely durable and high quality. Foam plyometrics are fantastic, but they can be deceiving. They're soft, but not too soft; otherwise, you won't get the right feel, and landing on them will be difficult; this one appeared to have a good stiffness to it, as well as enough weight to know that when I use it at 30" (which is the majority of the time), it won't tip or be unstable. It's held up well and appears to be long-lasting; however, the foam could be a little stiffer. Regardless, it is of excellent quality and comes at a very reasonable price, making it ideal for use as a garage box in the home.
This was a Christmas present for my husband, and he absolutely adores it. We do crossfit, but he's had a couple of nasty scrapes on his shins from the sharp edges of wooden boxes. This is a box he really likes. The cover appears to be very sturdy and durable. The 30" side isn't strong enough for recklessness, but it's fine for box jumps! It also helps to keep your joints in good shape! Not to mention that it's a STEAL when compared to the rogue boxes, which can cost up to $200 plus shipping! And this one is of the same high quality!.
Now, 25 years later, I'm interested in doing them as part of my Spartan race preparation. This is an excellent choice. It's heavy and solid (except for the 30" jump, which I'll probably only use to put my feet on for decline pushups!) and I'm not worried about hurting myself if I miss a jump. A big thumbs up!.
We have three different brands of foam boxes at our facility, all of which were purchased from Amazon, and this is the first one to be chosen every time; the 65 option is quite heavy, but it is quite stable. It is obvious that it is not as stable as a wood box, but it does hold up well. I'm not sure I'd trust it for high reps of 30", but that's difficult to come by with any foam box. Spend the extra money on the heavy one as long as you can transport it!.
After witnessing so many horrific falls in class, I've always been wary of using a wooden box. After seeing some of my classmates jump on it, I was a little hesitant because it appeared to be extremely wobbly. But it's actually very stable, and I had no problems jumping on it. We even had a girl try her first ever 30" box jump on it, and she did it without difficulty. It was well worth the money. If there are any issues with quality or durability, we will provide an update.
This allows her to jump without fear of further gashes or deep bone bruises. After reading reviews, I decided to purchase the 64-pound box, which is incredibly stable and does not move even when my 200-pound self performs 30-inch box jumps!.
This is a fantastic plyo box. It is sturdy and stable due to its weight, and it is simple to adjust the heights by flipping it.
These boxes are perfect for our gym because they keep our members safe. We also use traditional wood boxes, which are more stable and easier to move because they have hand holes to carry, but they're a great option for new athletes who aren't ready to jump to higher heights. br>This model weighs 65 pounds, which is necessary for jumping stability but makes it difficult to transport without handles.
