Questions & Answers

Are these supposed to fit an inch and 1/8 of an inch or an inch ?

I have exact 1" dumbbells and barbells, and these collars go on tight, so in answer to your question, I doubt it will fit anything with a diameter over 1".

Are these capable of working with a 1 inch threaded Is it important to ask, "will they hold weight" and not "will they thread on?" ?

I have a question regarding the use of the 1 inch quick release collars on a threaded bar as there is not as much surface area. Due to the threads, we need to The collar must grip in order for it to function. It is important to keep in mind that all bars are not designed with the same diameter and can differ in size. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. I wish you all the best, D1F

Is this rated for a certain amount of weight? How many pounds can I safely put on and move around the barbell if I hold it vertically?

That's a great question, but there doesn't seem to be an In your question, you nail down the core question of whether these collars will hold dogs. Over time, the rubber on the plates will compress, causing them to become looser on the bar, and a slight lean to one side can cause them As a result, this is dangerous in more ways than one An unbalanced bar, plates falling on the foot, an unloaded side of the bar being flung upwards, and a rapid upward motion of an unloaded side of the bar caused an It may be better for them to read what you are asking and know why you are asking, rather than downvoting it.

It was hard for me to close the Olympics on three different bars and I had to send them back
3/5

In my house, I have three Olympic bars, but I could not get these bars closed on any of them. As far as I've been able to tell, they would slide on fine, but in the end, no matter how much I wrenched on them, they wouldn't close. Another set from a different brand are perfect. These just seem to have been a bit too tight. I have since ordered another set from a different brand and they fit perfectly.

Clanking is no longer an issue
5/5

Now it seems that our entire lives are virtual, so our wife has virtual workout sessions with her employer during the week, so we work out at home using her device. The following sessions were conducted During the bootcamp, you will learn It is necessary to add weights to the core. There was a reason why I was looking for different types of clamps than the butterfly / spring type, as the weights always seemed loose to me they made a clanking noise. So far, these products seem to meet my needs better than those I was looking for that were more secure. Additionally, I attempted to put them on a couple of threaded bar ends that I own, but I did not place weight on them to see if they would hold up, but they also seemed to fit. In the next workout sessions, I intend to try them on both types of bar ends, and if they don't break as soon as they're inserted, then I'll take them and have a look at them. It did what it was supposed to do, and I plan on ordering a few more, perhaps even in different colors.

Changing a collar with a 1 inch gap is not secure or tight
3/5

Part 1 I prefer the 2 inch version. Detailed review of a 1 inch collar*A The first time I used them were for my Putting 15 pounds on one side will cause the weights to slip off almost instantly. Indicators A These were then used on the handle of the new dumbbell with the same issue. The pace of their descent was slower, but they still As far as I can tell, the collar that came with the dumbbell handle worked much better (I used them for my threaded barbell, and although I still lose weight, I don't mind as much because the ends of the barbell are longer and less likely to fall off. I grabbed my shoes and walked away. This is Part 2 of the series It is great to have a standard collar of 2 inches. This collar isn't totally secure, but that is to be expected from anything I wear. I do crossfit, so I am always picking up, throwing, and swinging my barbell, so my workouts will definitely tell me how sturdy this collar is. It seems to be working well so far, and hopefully won't.

I was not satisfied with the fit of these collars
3/5

As a result, these safety collars don't work well since they can't clamp on to the shaft strongly I did not want my weights on my barbells to come loose as I exercised, so I decided to place these collars behind the threaded retainer that came with my barbell. I thought doing this would prevent the bolt-like There was a mistake in my thinking. In the plastic collars, the screws would not clamp on hard enough to keep the weights in place, and the weights would start to fall after 20 minutes of exercise. I even tried adding some additional material to the inside of the collars to tighten them up, but this did not help. Re-reading was an endless process for me Checking and adjusting the collars as well as the original metal threaded weight retainer was a major distraction for Eventually I gave up and bought some metal collars with a screw perpendicular to the bar so that I could tighten them. We solved the problem in this way. These collars are plastic and should not be purchased. have also contacted the company and suggested they increase the tightness between the collars and the shafts.

Using a barbell of 1 inch will cause the clamps to move
3/5

The one inch barbell that I have fits nicely in these. It is important to note that these WILL slide around on the The bar was so close to the ceiling that I was able to easily move it With them on, we moved the clamps almost an inch out of place when lifting. Depending on the size and number of sets you are doing and the room available, you may not need to adjust the grip after every set if you are trusting yourself to keep the bar horizontal. However, I decided not to use them anymore. My bar is not large enough for 100 pounds of weight, so I still find it problematic to have that kind of weight there. As a result, I contacted customer service and they told me they were aware that some of their clamps were loose but continued to sell them anyway. The offer of a return was made to me, but these are so cheap it doesn't seem worth it for me to undergo the hassle. After a few attempts, I finally purchased some lockjaws and they fit and hold.

This is a safety hazard
3/5

They were purchased to speed up the process of switching weights on a threaded adjustable dumbbell bar. When closing them, the feeling is not as tight. Because of this, I felt nervous and conducted some tests to make sure I was As long as the bar stays horizontal during the lift (regular curls), I can use them, but I have to remove them and tighten after every As a result of the weight pushing against them, they slip very easily. Having tight shoulders makes me afraid to try vertical lifts, such as overhead tricep extensions or hammer curls, because I'm sure my plates would slip off the end and fall to the ground.

I like it
5/5

It sounds really nice, I was just starting out lifting weights and I didn't want to invest in equipment right away. There's a curling bar (that's what I think it's called lol) rather than a straight bar for me to use. The center squiggle is thin and the shape is rounded. It just so happens that my plates are for a thicker Olympic bar. They are moving around all the time and I have to adjust them all the time. But, finally, I found those guys! I no longer have to worry about the weights moving around and clanging! Now I can lock them in place! Also, I might buy more since the ones I have are screw ins that take a while to tighten and those that are clamps can be hard to squeeze sometimes.

Compared to the competition, it is much better
5/5

Just received these quick release safety collars and am very impressed with how easy they are to use and how thoughtful the design is. Rubber gaskets ensure the collars stay in place by adding an ingenious addition to the design it can be tightened to fit my barbell, plus it can be tightened to secure it in Several weeks ago, I tried the traditional squeeze collars, and they didn't hold up I needed large ones even though the advertised diameter was what I wanted, but they were too thin and moved so the added weights didn't stay put. It's cool that you can get collars at Day 1. They did a great job designing a solid, well-made product, congratulations.
