I bought this for my 13-year-old son, and it sounds like it might be just right or a little tight. It's a little baggy on him because he's 5'8" and 140 pounds. It's an excellent hoodie:
If he's big and 100 pounds, I'd say Medium.
I'd go for a bigger size on these.
It's entirely up to you how you want to wear your hoodie sweater. Are you a fan of the space? I'm a big guy, so I had to get an XXL. The fit is tight and skinny if you order true to size. It's not how I prefer it to be. I'd order a size larger. It's an excellent resource.

These hoodies are a hit with my 16-year-old son. I gave him a few for Christmas and recently purchased another. They're not particularly thick; in fact, I'd describe them as being of medium weight. They did a great job in the washing machine. There will be no shrinkage or piling up. I ordered a small, which fit him perfectly. He prefers a tighter fit, but these were not. He stands around 5'5 inches tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has a slim build. For a teen boy, this is the ideal style. I hope that this review has been beneficial.
I'm 5'8" tall, 160 pounds, and have a muscular build. I'm not particularly muscular, but I do have broad shoulders and chest, so I got the sweatpants that go with these in a medium and they fit perfectly (as well as being extremely comfortable), so I figured I'd get the matching hoodie. On my upper body and around my neck, I found the hoodie to be quite tight. I needed a cover for the gym that was a little looser fitting. I'm not going to return the hoodie because I can make it comfortable if I'm just out running errands on a cold day. However, those of you with a larger upper body might want to look for something with a looser fit.
Under Armour products are, on the whole, a good deal. I've purchased a number of UA Storm hoodies and pants (as well as ThreadBorne items) from Amazon. I've noticed that the quality of products purchased online through sporting goods stores has deteriorated over time. This Rival Hoodie is an excellent example of why you should exercise caution when purchasing from a large online retailer. Although it is soft and light, I expected the material to be more durable. Previously, a large UA Loose Fit was too big for me. This hoodie is an XL, and it fits a little snugly. Some stitching from the neck was yanked loose by gently pulling on the front. The stitching on the kangaroo pouch is also poor, and it isn't even sewn on tightly. But what do you expect for $22? The tag stated 2016 as the year, so perhaps this was a secondhand irregular or defected piece?.
Keep it hidden from your girlfriends. This was a present for my boyfriend's birthday. He'd mentioned that he needed a new Under Armour hoodie, and I figured the blue color would draw attention to his eyes. It was perfect when it arrived. I wanted to sew a small heart into the sleeve, and it was incredibly simple to do so without destroying the fabric. Sturdy, for sure. It's also extremely plush and warm. It has become an obsession for him. br>I ordered the wrong size, but that's only because he's grown more muscular, so it didn't fit as well as his previous ones, but that's my fault. Because I'm obsessed with it as well, I'll steal it from him when he grows out of it and get him another.
I usually buy big sweaters or pullovers. They have a tendency to be a little large when it comes to overs. I have a lot of hoodies in my closet that are big and bulky. This isn't the case. br>br>It fits like a tee in the same LARGE size. Shirt that allows for some movement but isn't too baggy or loose. The quality of the material is excellent, and the fit is excellent (I'm 6'0" and 190 lbs). It hasn't been particularly cool or cold here, but it has kept me comfortable on a cool, brisk morning or evening. br>br>Since I'm not looking for a designer hoodie or anything fancy, the plain design and small, subtle logo work well for me. The kangaroo pouch is lined and doesn't "sag" like typical hoodies, so it provides warmth and comfort. The defect, which I assumed was from the factory, did not impress me, but everything else was fine. Even though this is most likely a one-time problem, I am disappointed.
For the past ten years, I've been wearing a gray Under Armor Cold Gear hoodie. It's done a fantastic job of holding up. The temperature has not changed. Everything is still fine. I noticed the other day that the sun had faded/bleached the shoulders and top of the hood, so I started looking for a replacement. I was a little worried about the quality after reading the reviews, but it arrived today and it's fantastic. It's even thicker and heavier than my old UA Cold Gear hoodie! It's extremely well-made. It's a scorching hot day. It isn't heavy or cumbersome in any way. It was a "Loose" fit on the old hoodie. I'm not sure if Under Armour still produces it. This one has a much more sleek, tailored profile than the old one, and it fits much "cleaner. " The Large fits me perfectly because I'm 220 pounds, 6 feet tall, and muscular. I'm really happy with it.
