It's unlikely that the two balls are the same. Soccer balls are available in a variety of quality levels. This ball appears to be of good practice quality. It has held up well after nearly a year of practice use and is ready for another year. If you can find a ball of comparable quality for a lower price, go for it.
The ball size should be determined by the league in which the child participates; however, for a 5- or 6-year-old, a number 3 ball is recommended. Balls are numbered 3,4,5, with 3 being the smallest and 5 being the largest, and are used by children from middle school to adults.
The size of the balls required for different age groups varies. Smaller balls are used by younger children.
For a two-year-old, size 3 is appropriate. This is a good soccer ball to use for practice. It's very good at holding air. Can withstand a lot of rough treatment. I'm not sure why there are so many negative, one-star reviews because the ball was deflated when it arrived. It's deceptive because the ball is in perfect condition. The majority of balls are shipped deflated, at least in my experience, and those that are shipped inflated are under-inflated (below recommended PSI) and must be inflated to specification. Even match balls costing more than $100 will lose pressure over time, necessitating the use of a pump.
There was no pump or needle, and the ball was not inflated. That was a big hit with my 11-year-old son. Thanks. SMDH.
There are cheaper balls, but if you've ever played footy, you'll know that they don't feel the same as this one. It was fantastic once it had been inflated to my liking. It has a nice texture, is round, and moves well both in the air and on the ground. It's also pretty cool when it comes to design. My only criticism is that the stickers on the ball did not peel off easily, but this was easily remedied with some soap and water. People complaining about the ball not being inflated can be found in the negative reviews. They must have no idea how balls are sold or what rights they have to them. Basketballs are the only balls I've ever seen shipped consistently "inflated. " Even when balls are shipped "inflated," such as the basketballs I mentioned, they are almost always underinflated, requiring you to inflate them further. The ball would also deflate over time. If you don't have one already or the person you're buying it for doesn't have one, you might as well buy a ball pump instead. They're not too expensive and will come in handy for additional balls, or buy a bike pump to inflate both your balls and your bike tires for even more value!.
Everything was in perfect working order when it arrived! Ball has performed admirably. Just keep in mind that you'll need to inflate it with your own tools.
Beautiful soccer ball for my four-year-old (I purchased a size three ball). We had to purchase a pump because it arrived deflated. It appears to be of good quality and matches the rest of the shock pink adidas collection.
There's no mention of it being deflated anywhere in the listing. It was a huge letdown.
My daughter kicks this ball down the street, and it is in perfect condition. Leather that is extremely long-lasting.
