The tightening bushing appears to be larger than 3/4", more like a 1", and if that's the spec, the area around the brush thread should be 3/4".

This telescoping pole is the most luxurious and comfortable on the market. I just think about how nice it is every time I use it (with the brush head) to wash my truck or RV. It's almost to the point of being obtrusive. Who'd have guessed there were such things as luxury poles? This is a purchase that is well worth the money. It's extremely durable and light.
I looked at a number of telescoping poles, both online and in local hardware stores. Even when fully extended, this pole is very solid and does not flex. It's made of sturdy material, and the screw-type locking mechanism is simple to operate and secure. There are two types of head attachments I have - Both attachments are sturdy and work well with this pole, one with a hook for hanging Christmas lights and the other with a pruning/saw combination for trimming my yard's trees. This is the one to get if you want something that will last a long time.
A word or two about the Better Boat Telescoping Pole and Deck Brush. This is a product to seriously consider if you have a boat deck or gel coated boat exterior and are looking for a great product to help with cleaning. The workmanship and materials are of excellent quality. I have a feeling this will last for a long time. For the quality, the price was shockingly low. The brush bristles are a great combination of stiffness for cleaning but not too stiff for use on the exterior of your boat's gelcoat. Please don't be hesitant to buy. High-quality, low-cost, and long-lasting.
very well-made As you can see, someone was just as fed up as I was with rusted poles that never floated in sea water. This is a great product that can be used in and out of the water. It can be used to clean brushes and wipe down surfaces. Product that is well-made.
This handle is very sturdy, and it fits the Better Boat blue brush head, which most other sticks do not. br>As a result of having to buy this to work with a brush and a nasty, difficult to remove blue sticker on the tube, it only gets 4 stars.
The screw end of this pole is metal rather than plastic, which is why I bought it. All of the plastic versions had broken ends in the reviews. I used it the other day and am very pleased with my purchase.
It's solid, and I like that it adjusts short. After spraying the area, I gave it a brushing a few minutes later. This went by much more quickly than it had in the past. In the future, I plan to use it for a variety of things.
For use in gym showers, I ordered these along with better boat brush heads. Nothing out of the ordinary. When they're all put together, they feel solid and have a well-balanced/distributed weight. The pole and brush head threads are both metal, which is a nice touch; I'm sure the housekeeping staff will eventually break them, but if you're a gentler with your tools, this pole and (separate) brush head should last you a long time.
