There is a description on the product that says it will accept rope up to 3/8" in diameter, so you should be able to use it.

They are great eyes, but they have horrible screws

A weakness was apparent in the screw heads. I was unable to break several chips during installation even when I used generous pilot holes, slow pressure, and backed off every turn to break the chip off. As the hardware was not going to hold up, I used some stainless screws I had stored. While the stainless eyes are quality, the lenses themselves are not.

These are the strings of lights I used

The cables I use are holding the metal wire for the string lights in my backyard. After enduring some SoCal Santa Ana winds and rain, they seem to be holding up well.

This is a great hanging light to use! I was able to accomplish this with no trouble! I used this to hang my light in the backyard and it came out great!! They were easy to understand and easy to read

My window blinds were secured with these to hold the chain in place. Compared to the cheap plastic ones that came with the blinds, these look much better. If they were designed for boats, I am certain they would last for a long time in my living room if they were made to be used in water and salty air.
