Questions & Answers
They have double sided tape on them to hold them in place and they have already been placed into the holes in the boat
You will need to sand the hole a little to fit the 3 5/8 screws. There are only a few of them, and they are very close together. With the adhesive they come with they will most likely move around and to hold them in place you will need to use 3M 4200 or something similar. I used a 5 3/8 and sanded for 10 minutes total (4 cup holders) and they fit perfectly.
Despite the fact that the price is right and they are well made, I don't know.
It is hard to recall.

The decals were easy to install and fit into the hole in my Grady White. After two months, the decals are all rusted! Each and every one of you!.
It seems that I have purchased 14 of these stainless steel cup holders for various boats over the last 2 years and they are The standard hole size is perfectly suited for them. You need a hole saw of 3 inches and 5/8 inches if you are creating a standard hole size. Below are a couple of tips you should know if you are going to drill into fiberglass 1. B. I. Tape the area where you will be cutting out with painters tape. It will prevent the drill bit from wandering around and scratching up your gelcoats, no matter how hard you try to maintain them. ** 2. You should run it in reverse first to remove most of the possibility of it cracking and spreading all over the place. Most of the time, the cleanest cut is achieved this way. 1. 2. 3. Use a low speed setting for the drill. Do not go too heavy on the scraper because you're removing a lot of material. Grabbing the bit by the bit will probably cause the saw to lose its temper (both literally and metaphorically). Unlike many other cup holders, these features a hole that drains when they're used. It would have been too hard to remove the hose by just sliding it over with the pressure that the hose takes. So, I ran clear tubing to a drain hose or to the deck and attached it with a stainless steel hose clamp whenever possible. It is possible that you got a too small hose in the hose department. Simply heat it up with a lighter or heat gun until it is loose enough so that it can All in all, these are an absolute steal and will add a lot of style to any yacht. Now is the time to get them while they are still on sale!.
I recommend buying a hole saw that is 3 5/8" wide. The above are the ones I installed around my center console boat's gunwale. Since I read the previous review about purchasing a 3 5/8" hole saw, I realized they worked great and were easy to install. I urge you to do it. In the event you do not already have a hole saw, you should consider buying A jigsaw was necessary to install the first cup holder and it was an incredibly difficult task. used silicone instead of 3m tape to make a permanent solution since I do not want to replace the same cup after a few months. I got a hole saw and was able to fix the first mistake and install the remaining three cups quickly. This is a great product and it works great too. This mounting system mounts flush to your deck. It is very sturdy. Their size is perfect, big enough to hold even large drinks, such as the yeti rambler, but since they have the small section in them, they can hold cans as well.
The price is too good to be true. I am very happy with how they fit my 2014 Tahoe Q5i! I like it, and I'm happy you liked it A snug space. For some reason, Tahoe found these acceptable for half the cup holders on my boat but used stainless steel for the other half, odd. For some reason, I purchased 4 of them to replace the white plastic cup holders. I mentioned that the adhesive strips on the cup holders are not very effective, but because they are so tight in my boat it's not a big deal to me. However, if you decide to rely on the adhesive to hold the cup holders in place you might not be so fortunate. As mentioned, I will update this review if the cup holders rust like a lot of people have been complaining about. My boat is used on freshwater only and is stored in a fully enclosed non-weathered garage. The storage of food under climate controlled conditions.
On my first purchase of this, I bought the Seasense version. These were a bit more expensive, but I thought they were a much higher-quality product. They incorporated 3m tape under the top edge, so the fit was quite secure. To tell that there is a decent amount of material being used in their production, they have a nice weight to them. My next step was to purchase Compared to the warehouse, these are a great deal cheaper (and I found them in the warehouse so There is not much difference between them. In addition to being cheap and not adhering properly to either the cup holder or whatever surface it's installed on, the tape is not even repositionable. In one of the cups there appears to be a small spot of rust on it One of my two boats is currently on the market, and the other is for sale. My plan is to remove the ones from Seasense and replace them with these. If you are on a budget and do not plan to keep the items they are installed in for an extended period of time (or if they will be kept inside), then these are a great option for you. As an alternative, if you pay a few extra dollars and get the seasense, you won't.
The quality of the product is reasonable for the price. You should be aware that an airtight seal around the perimeter of an opening may be required for an accurate fit inside an original I only needed sealant/filler on two of my openings, but five others provided a tight fit. A drain fitting is not a tight fit against the bottom of the cup holder because it is plastic. A black flimsy insert was located in the interior bottom of the holder, and I removed it as well as the adhesive ring under the lip of the cup. After the adhesive was removed with Xylene solvent, I had to clean up the area. Surfaces that are painted are at risk of damage. A replacement of the old white drink holders would be worth the effort and expense.
I used a 3 1/2" and a curved file to finish them. The seal on the cup was not good, the tape came loose and was not sticky. I used a small bead of 3M 5200 sealant to remedy the problem.
