Fantastic product; I like the beveled edges so our lake house guests don't stub their toes, it folds up and down easily, and it's made of ABS plastic, so it'll last a lifetime. The black looks great on the dock because it doesn't stand out and looks unattractive. There are a lot of recessed holes for securing it. We live on a busy cove, and the waves cause the boat to pull away from the dock. This cleat has a lot of strength. To connect the dock to the house, I used 3/8 galvanized lag bolts from Lowe's.
It's made of tough plastic that flips down when not in use, making it less of a tripping hazard, and it's extremely durable, holding our 30 foot pontoon, paddle boats, and jon boats in place. I did purchase stainless steel screws to supplement the ones that came with the kit because the ones that came with it weren't long enough in some areas, but the ones that came with it were used in conjunction with the extras I bought. It's a well-made piece of work. product that has been made.
Strong and appealing to the eye. This is a fantastic dock cleat that is well made. Sturdy. I used to think that Another brand of folding cleats were the way to go because they were stylish and foldable, but they all broke because they were made of flimsy / cheap metal. I recently purchased a second Cleat Seat to add a spring line; overall, I would strongly recommend this product.
The overall size is larger than I anticipated, but it is not overpowering when docked. Folding cleats were exactly what I needed to keep the kids' feet from tripping over each other while they were playing. I used lag bolts and large washers to secure them, so there are no worries there.
We've had these cleats for more than a year and have nothing but good things to say about them. They aren't cracked or warped in any way. If you need dock cleats, we recommend these because the cleats fold down when not in use and the bottom of the cleat is angled to reduce tripping hazards.
It was well-made, simple to put together, and it held my pontoon boat perfectly. They performed admirably the first year, and I anticipate that they will continue to do so for many years to come. I like how they're made of rubber and fold down so I don't trip over them.
This cleat is ideal because it is low-profile, strong, simple to use, and attractive. It's convenient that it can be folded flat when it's not in use. br> It's a lot easier and safer to jump (swim) off our dock now. br>There is no hardware included. 1/4" stainless lag bolts and 1/4" washers were used.
The fold-away cleat was the main reason I bought it. Good construction and a reasonable price Installation time is reduced. Hardware is not included, so it will be an additional cost.
