The packages had Atwood part numbers on the side of them, one fit and I received two identical packages of connectors, one of which has a much larger stainless steel ball than the other. This is the one that wouldn't clip properly to The HP is 9. Clearly, there was a problem with quality control since a different connector must have been accidentally mixed in with another. I wasn't satisfied with the first connector as it took several days to arrive instead of next day as advertised. The second one came the next day.
Although they are great except that one kept coming undone because it wouldn't lock on to the engine coupling. The switches were flipped around and they worked as they should. Make sure the connections are working properly. Driving for a while and then having to stop because you have a broken fuel line can be frustrating.
There is a different connector for each brand of outboard engine Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki and OMC. I bought this to connect the fuel line to a 1993 Evinrude 110 HP outboard. My OMC connector was a little too small for the locking connection (hole insert), so I had to drill it out in order to accommodate the connector. Unless I received a wrong unit, or if I have the wrong-sized intake for my Evinrude motor, I have both problems. After I re-tested it, I found it to be a good unit A part was designed and engineered.
The two theses both had to be replaced after they were used on the lake a couple of times. Air leakage allowed by the seal is enough to kill the motor, since it does not seal right on the tank or the Better products can be purchased.
Most aspects of this were copied well, but there was no in-depth test to make sure that it was right on the engine, which would have made the copy The copy from Taiwan is worthless and useless, so now I am stuck with it! The seller did not live up to my expectations.
I think this valve will be perfect for connecting the remote tanks of my generators. My RV is not approved by the Coast Guard and I think that will be a very important factor for preventing any gasoline leaks.
I have never had a problem with it and it is very easy to disassemble for storage or refilling. If you're looking to change things up quickly in your set-up, then this item is what you need.
I found what I was looking for. Following their arrival, they were ready to go.
