Is there a size of screw that goes into these?

It should be fine to use a #6 screw and it should fit loosely, too. It provided a tight fit and substantial support for my application since I chose a zinc-coated #8 lath screw.

There was no need for me to do This size was exactly what I needed (one fourth of an inch) to clamp some wire. A nylon cable clamp is a simple tool, what could possibly go wrong? Oh my God, these are awful! Because the holes do not line up, you kinda have to bend them together so the screw can go through. Turning the screw causes the cheap black nylon to tear as you turn it. Make sure not to really tighten them because otherwise the clamp will totally rip. As a result, I recently bought a second pack from a local radio shack store. I had trouble finding the clamps I needed since they only sold a variety pack, so out of 16 clamps, four were the right size. The quality of those was MUCH better It's worth mentioning that I'm not a fan of the Radio Shack line of products. Nevertheless, the holes in the stainless steel were perfectly aligned and they were VERY strong and easy These are to be avoided. There is no point in paying for them.

Is capable of doing the job

Wires were attached to these by using these. They are clamps that I bought to secure water tubing to my pipes. An ice maker is in the refrigerator. Next week will be the week for that project. My experience is that the clamps fit well and have good quality. They are right size and precisely sized for the job.

Straps that are decent

I thought they would be a more heavy duty strap than they are, but they are OK. It would be fine if they were in a protected area where they weren't bumped or exposed to the elements.

Exactly what I needed. I needed a clamp long enough to clamp a hose to a backplane, so this was ideal. We would have been happier if we didn't have to order so many items.
