In my opinion, no. To tighten, you will have to hold the backside.
I measure 0 in my calipers on the larger side. The maximum size is 652" and the minimum size is This is what 572" min (threading) looks like. This side measures 0 on the smaller side. The maximum size is 592 inches and the minimum size is The maximum length of the min. is 531". I find that a 9/16" drill bit is the closest size to what I'm looking for.
As bulkhead thickness increases, the threads just barely engage at a 1/2" thickness and are fully engaged at a 5/16" It is not necessary to meet a bulkhead thickness minimum.

However, it's a bit complicated. The price of these things is insane. There's an element of quality in the price. . . even if you're on a budget. During my kayaking trip, I used these to run the dc lines for my batteries. I totally dig it!.
The legs were solid, but were too short for what I needed, so I had to buy longer legs.
I was very happy with the product, and it was delivered.
No matter how you look at it, this looks pretty durable.

I think it is fine for the purpose it is meant for. This does not work well with flat cables, which is what we had available via Amazon from April to June.
For the price of a single item, it's too much. Having never tried it yet, I cannot comment.
