Activate this feature by manually resetting it to off/middle
The momentary nature of the switch is the reason you must hold the switch in the on position during the moment. The toggle switch can be either "up" or "down" and returns to "off" In my old outboard, I installed this inside the splashwell to operate the trim and tilt.

We replaced a bad switch on our camper in October 2018, and the switch has failed again in six months. I was looking for a marine rated outdoor switch, but this one was not worth the price. Next time, I'll buy the ones in a three or four pack so I have some spares and still have a better deal than what I paid for this.
For my older Mercury outboard, I bought this switch for a shallow well mounted tilt trim switch. I only had to wire it up for about 45 minutes, The transom saver is on a 1987 Mercury outboard that has no place to attach it on the engine cowling, but it is sure nice to be able to raise and lower it from the rear so that it fits properly. I was thinking about buying another switch at the same time for the bow area.
purchased it to be able to control a winch on my 4X2 JD GATOR to operate a plow, so the raise and lower that is printed on it is perfect. I highly recommend it.
Here's a simple bracket for mounting the tilt/trim switch on the console in place of the broken switch that broke on the There is metal in the plate and it is solidly mounted.
Easier than ever to wire and install. It will fit great and work well if you take your time with it.
I was impressed with how easy it was to install and how well it works. It is a good.
It is the exact perfect fit for the mercury 115 HP, 2001 models with EFI 4 stroke engines.
