When the actuator is off on the switch, what does it mean?

It is possible to remove the switch when the actuator is off.

Where the knob tabs turn the switch from on to off, one fell off and broke. What else must I do? Do I need a whole new switch or can I just put in a new knob? Is that okay?

It is not possible to buy a knob separately.

A FAILURE IS DESIGNED TO HAPPEN

A battery switch like this is a waste of time and money! There are so many flaws in the design. It is definite that if you do not depress the switch fully, using quite a bit of force, you will strip the security tabs within the dial. You will then be unable to use the switch. If the inverter is stripped, you cannot turn it on or off any more. As it was stuck on and the wires were hot, I had to hire an electrician to get it off. EXTEND THE LIFE OF YOUR DEBT. It's much better and cheaper to buy switches at a car parts store.
