Two times I tried to order connectors for 6 gauge wire. The 8 gauge connectors that I received both times were the same. On a travel trailer, I was trying to do some electrical harness repairs. As a result of these mistakes, I had to finish the repairs almost two weeks late.
I bought these products because I couldn't find anything of comparable quality for splicing heavy lift gate power cables. This worked perfectly for my 4 gauge wire, but I had to heat shrink my own.
What it is, is simple, not much to it, and it does what it is supposed to do.
I am happy with the performance of the product. The products that Ancor makes are great!.
I did a good job The connections can be soldered or crimped. Crimp is the way I prefer.
The Ancor 252130 8AWG butt connectors I received are fine. A mistake has been made in the description. There is a butt connector that is 8AWG. The clothes were not a good fit, so I returned them. We lose time when we do nothing. A link on Ancor's web site indicates that 252130 is for two 8AWG connectors, and that's exactly what was in the package. Rather than trying to find a vendor who carries a 6AWG connector package on your first try, find a vendor who offers.
It surpassed my expectations.
The intended outcome has been achieved.
