On my 1979 Ford F-150, I recently had to perform some electrical work. 150 I required a variety of connectors. This connector is extremely durable and did exactly what I needed it to do. The cost of five was significantly more than I would normally pay. I needed them as soon as possible in order to get my truck back on the road. Electrical tape is something I try to avoid using. As a result, I used these and added heat shrink tubing to avoid any future electrical problems.
The connection is sturdy and strong. Jenn- I used them on the patio. They're called air Downdraft Stove Top infinite switches, and they're fantastic. I first bought a cheap package of piggybacks from Amazon, but after realizing that 220v was a fire hazard, I quickly upgraded to marine grade, and I couldn't be happier.
These were purchased for a project I was working on at the time. These were required in order for me to connect the solar charger and my lights to the rechargeable battery. They were the perfect fit for the posts on my 12 volt battery.
When you need to add another lead to a male prong that already exists, this is the way to go. This setup can easily be extended by adding another wire.
If your boat has connections and a switch panel, you'll almost certainly require some of these.
As I previously stated, everything was perfect. The quality was excellent, and the product functioned flawlessly. The fit is nice and snug.
On the battery, this was a nice little tidbit.
The connector is securely held in place. As I plugged it into the switch, the metal didn't bend.
