I've now had these Blue LED 6 gang toggles powered by a 12 alarm panel battery (UB1280 12V 8AH Sealed Lead Acid), Toggles in the OFF position, only the small leds illuminated) for 10 days without any voltage loss, starting @ 12. 68 volts for ten days in a row. The voltage is 57 volts. Next, I turned all of the switches to the ON position; at this rate, the voltage should drop below 9 volts in well over two weeks.

Two MAJOR failures that, in the case of a car or boat, could result in catastrophic failure. When removing the wires from the switch during assembly, I ran into two problems: first, the wire pulled right out of the connector - The crimp was a complete failure! SECOND FAILURE: The switch's mating terminal (which was supposed to remain a part of the switch) completely pulled out, remaining in the wire connector's mating terminal! I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Back-to-back failures on two different items. Electrical parts that fail in this manner can cause a fire or worse. I've contacted Amazon and the seller to alert them to the problem. The CE mark is supposed to guarantee a certain level of product quality in terms of safety, but this clearly does not meet that requirement. Spend a little more money on a switch that will never fail. br>br>Update: I connected a NEW stereo to this switch panel, which was killed by the switch shorting internally. There was no problem after I replaced the switch and stereo. Because the new stereo was working PRIOR to installing this switch panel I can say with 100% certitude that it was a bad switch. I make a living installing and repairing electronics, so this isn't a naive assessment.
If used as is, these are fantastic. The back pin, however, pulls out despite extreme caution. You - If you want to rewire the switches, you'll need to widen the spade connector. If you don't do so, the Male spade will be pulled out of the switch's back. Then you're toast; you also can't tin the pin and try to replace it. The thin plastic surrounding it will melt if you do so. Even using an adjustable soldering iron set to the lowest melting point for the solder, the switch was destroyed. Electrical and electronic engineer with over 20 years of experience.
Probably fine unless you need to disconnect wires; attempting to remove connectors from the back of switches resulted in terminals pulling out of switches, wires pulling out of connectors, and so on; cheaply assembled, no solder, and apparently cheap switches that fall apart; in the future, I'll purchase the plate that holds the switches and assemble myself.
br>It appears to function properly. br>Because it's brand new, I can't comment on durability. br>My only gripe is that if you don't have a master on/off switch installed before this switch panel, the back light is always on. br>The battery will be depleted as a result of this over time. br>Apart from that, I'm satisfied.
As far as I can tell, these switches are of good quality. The switches have a great feel to them when flipped, which is something I was looking for. I read reviews of people having issues with connectors breaking off or bending, but I simply followed the instructions and was careful, and I had no issues. If you're wiring lights in a rig, the wiring diagram they provide is useful but insufficient; you'll have to figure that out for yourself, but the purpose of each post is clearly identified. The backlight is extremely bright, possibly too bright if placed at eye level; however, I use it at a low angle and appreciate the brightness. The stickers they give you are useful and have stayed on for a long time. I believe these are an excellent value for the money and would strongly recommend them. I'm writing this about 8 months after installing them and haven't had any problems.
I've had them for over a year, and they've performed admirably and lasted the longest, though one of the switches did meltdown on the tenth use when I lit only two of my lights up, I didn't overdraw the Amps, I didn't overpower it, it was only two small piller lights, and one of the switches completely melted down on me, resulting in smoke in the cabin of my jeep, so that's why I only gave it four stars.
Switches may appear to be of good quality, but that is where it ends. I used fuses before the switch to wire all of my lights, so I didn't have to use the supplied wiring. When I pulled the wiring connector off the terminals while removing the supplied wiring, I had 9 of the factory terminals pull out of the switch. I wired everything up because the terminals could push back into the switch and felt snug. Everything worked fine until one of the switches failed on the first ride. When trying to figure out what was wrong with that switch, two more failed. As a result, only three of the six switches are operational at this time. This isn't a particularly impressive average.
You'd better read the fine print, because they ain't red. In fact, upon re-reading the description, I discovered that they are indeed "orange"! Apart from that, and the fact that I've been waiting for them for two and a half weeks for a project, they've been late, lost, found, and finally arrived because returning them during a "pandemic" is too much trouble! Aside from that, it appears to be a well-made product; if I had wanted "Orange," I would have most likely purchased these! I'm not happy with this! Especially since this is what I found when I Googled "Red Led Rocker Switches"! Those pesky oranges!.
