Because the device is water immune, I'm sure it would not be affected by salt water. The salt should be removed from an exposed device with a good rinse of fresh water if it has been exposed to salt water.
As far as large dive gear items go, I am not sure the bag I have will work for you. We use it on the boat for towels and The tank works great for that, but I don't think fins and other gear would all fit in it.

A few weeks ago, I bought the 60L bag to hold my regular camera bag while I was There appeared to be a bit of a problem with the 40L bag. There is one camera bag (ThinkTank Airline Commuter) that just goes with airline luggage Fits perfectly and is true to size. It will be easier for me to access my camera equipment now. Instead of taking the camera bag out of the waterproof bag, I can simply access it from the waterproof Splashes are no doubt going to be protected from my gear by this cover. Submersion is unlikely to happen to me, but if I do, I'll be sure to update the review.
Besides an overnight camping trip, I have used the bag on three day kayaking trips, and I also used this bag for a dual sport motorcycle Neither of them had a problem with it. While I haven't completely submerged it, all my stuff was dry after sitting in the back of my kayak in an inch or two of water for 3 days. With the 60L, I was able to fit all of the camping gear I originally purchased for backpacking and had room for a few more things as well. bags are well made, have many places to tie them down, as well as a couple of small pockets for things you want to reach quickly. While there aren't many pockets, they are convenient. A fantastic bag for the price. There is no way you can go wrong.
The raft is amazing! I bought it, by a whim, for a white water rafting trip and I am extremely happy with it. All items remained completely dry in the bag despite being in an oar boat for three full days on rapids and in the I checked this in my luggage for my flight to and from London, and it held up well other than getting dirty. There are exterior and interior pockets which are handy for small items like cash and ID cards.
I love it. In my case, this was used to go ocean kayaking for a week. After just returning from a weeklong boat trip testing out a new military interceptor, I had to end the trip. We were running the open boat in 6' seas with constant wind of 40 mph. The clothes in my DuffelSak are the only ones not soaked. I'm very pleased with this.
