One foot is the length of the tether. In spite of the fact that the air volume and compartment storage volume is 15L or four gallons, I would not store more than a coke-sized bottle. The buoy will lose buoyancy when you place a large (12oz) object inside it, because the displaced air will reduce buoyancy, which in turns will cause drag and slow you down.
When there are really rough conditions and the waves hit you from behind, the sail can sometimes get pushed up by your arms and interfere. Only a few times has that happened to me so far. There is a good chance you will forget it's there most of the time.
Only a little bit. There is no ground beneath it. There is almost nothing in the water and it is very light.
The object is unlikely to be visible from space, but it may be visible from over a lake from a Piper Cub. There is no way to prevent decapitation with it. Because I doubt that the Monster is really concerned about confusing you with a sea cow, it would be a serious risk that you would be mistaken for one.

My swim buoy is one of my favorite accessories. The water feels so much safer (though yesterday evening someone thought I was a duck on shore? With the dry bag, I can take a couple of items with me that won't get wet inside when I'm in the water (the bag gets wet inside, whether you open it or not). As I swim, I have found that there is hardly any drag to contend with- Every once in a while, it feels more like an occasional tug, probably caused by an interference in the water current. Additionally, I have no difficulty switching from one stroke to another when I am swimming- The backstroke, the butterfly, the freestyle, and the sidestroke are all breaststrokes. On occasion, it is necessary for me to slide the buoy along the belt when switching to backstroke (this was a simple maneuver while swimming). The float is perfect when I want to adjust my goggles or rest for a few seconds while I adjust my float. The only thing I have to complain about is the cleanliness. Each time you swim, your dry bag will likely have some moisture in it, so you should be able to dry it out afterward. There is no convenient way to solve this problem. To my mind, I think it would be great if the swim buoy had a tab (with a hole in the tab) at the rounded end- By hanging up the buoy, you will be able to let air into it. The problem, however, is that I still need to figure out a way to keep the sides from sticking together while the buoy is drying. The buoy gets pretty wet between swims (at least during summer) where I live, so getting it to dry is not a big issue, but it is awkward. Any tips?.
What a wonderful invention! It's very visible from the water and it gives me a chance to take a little breather while I swim! If you're out on the water, you'll want to stop and take a look! Knowing that I can float if necessary gives me more confidence in case of a problem. It's a great product and is well-made without being too Here's the latest I have grown even more fond of this device since I first used it. This summer, I had great experiences swimming in open water, and I'm so thankful I had this buoy two times. Swimming across a lake without water one day when it was very hot was a difficult experience for me. Definitely not a good thing. As a result, I ordered an 8oz small. The buoy pocket should be filled with water by placing a bladder inside. I was a little heavier on the return swim, but it saved me from dehydration and I was a lot lighter. During another blow, it was hard for me to get to the other side of the lake because of the wind. I had my buoy to thank for my survival! It was a breath of fresh air that I could hold on to. The only way I can swim open water is with As well as being aware of risks, I need to become more proactive! Anyone who swims in open water would benefit from this book! I am very happy with this.
Because of boat traffic on a lake that we swim in during the summer, we require a swim buoy for safety when we swim together. It has been great for me to have this buoy. The car has a high visibility, and I never even realize that it is following me since it has no At 175 pounds, I am a medium-sized woman. I've found it extremely useful for taking breaks in open water with no access to the bottom, where a buoy practically supports my weight. Even if I am not with a group, I still swim with this in order to have peace of mind. It's very handy and easy to use, and keeps your valuables dry while storing them in the bag. This product is a must have if you use OWS. Great product!.
I was hardly even aware it was on in the beginning. After looking back a few times to make sure it is still there, I had to stop a couple of times. Whenever my legs came into contact with the boat it was because I was stopping or turning around to check for boats. Pouches on the pouch side are pretty large, but they are not There is no waterproof seal on the pouch, which rolls up and clips nicely. So that my key fob stayed dry, I used a waterproof case for my phone. This bag can be easily inflated and deflated. When rolled up into the size of a sandwich, it looks like a small cylinder This compact ring is easy to transport. Originally, I wanted to get the neon green, but now, I consider the yellow to be The mountains surrounding the lake are covered in varying shades of green. Upon my return from a swim of about 800 yards out and back, a lady sitting on the dock said she saw me the whole time. A great product for open water swimming that will give you peace of mind.
The pros are The bag is easy to inflate and deflate. It does the job of keeping your items dry for the longest time as long as it doesn't explode suddenly (as mine did). Finding the right belt adjustment proved to be a challenge. Additionally, after participating in the exercise for more than 45 minutes, I felt uneasy The water should be submerged for fifty minutes. The inflator literally ruptured as soon as it was inflated right before the In fact, I have a feeling that it could have occurred during the session, so the items may have been lost in the water! As a result, I recommend having a small plastic bag to protect electronic devices, keys, and credit cards you might be carrying. Overall, considering the price I paid for the item, I would say it was able to accomplish the job, but I had a poor experience with.
It covers most safety precautions for swimming in open water with the New Wave Swim Buoy. The buoy is fastened around your waist and held with one arm so that you can quickly transition into a sitting position so you can stay afloat without being required to expend a huge amount of energy. By using a vivid color, you will greatly improve your chances of being seen by other boats and The dry compartment will allow you to carry personal items such as your phone and car keys while you are out in the water, so you won't have to worry about any shenanigans taking place on land while you are out there. It is possible for water droplets to penetrate the sealed dry compartment even when the buoy is inflated, folded, and locked in. Be sure that every item in a dry compartment is placed inside a waterproof pouch as well. Unless you're going to tow a lot of gear or are in choppier waters, 15L should be enough. A 20L bag is not much use it's only useful if you have lots of gear or if you're in choppiness It would be more important to know why you're in the extreme conditions in the first place if you're in the rough environment. Here are some important things to keep in mind It is essential to know survival skills such as treading water and floating in an emergency. All swimmers should develop these skills regardless of their level, as well as their location, and equipment. A SAFETY DEVICE is not a substitute for skill.
