Is it possible for you to drop this anchor in the water?

In short, yes. The anchors are submerged completely under water and I use them every weekend. It takes me about half an hour to fill the bag The top should be rolled and the buckle secured. Fill the container 3/4 full with sand. While the black rings are not the strongest, if you intend to toss the anchor, they will likely break where you secure the line to the black D rings. The only thing I use now are carabiners. Everything works as it should.

The material can be used dry or wet to fill the hole. We use it with small rocks and sand. Using wet, we filled the voids. The way we use this with PWC is not to empty it every time.

The water is not so deep, so would you be able to make the rope shorter if you don't want to drift so far?

The length of the sentence can be shortened yes. Tie a knot or attach one end to the anchor and the other to the floating device or boat after you have wrapped the loop around the floating piece.

It has been a while since I've been able to find a solid sand anchor. This bad boy hasn't disappointed me. As I filled it with sand and walked it out to where the wave runners would be, I decided to put in a wave runner. Keep all rocks out of your vicinity. The whole day long it held its shape Although there was some choppy water, the anchor remained in place. These docks can be docked without avoiding rocks at all!.

The plastic buckle on this belt works fine, but it It is possible to break the plastic buckle if you don't pick it up with care once it is loaded with sand

I won't mind if you know and don't mind if I do- Buckles hug when so moved, but we can't move them when someone else tries to grab them. If you try to move them by the "handle" the buckle creates, they'll snap it off. The one I have is trash, so he might want to buy one with a metal buckle.

The sand filled floaties that held the adults easily were able to anchor with their floaties filled with sand. Though we filled it all the way, the weight was quite heavy when we were done! The bag can be used for dry storage as well.
