Yeah. At 250 pounds and 6 feet, I'm a 3XL. It is only the width that is an issue, not the height. 2XL should fit perfectly and provide plenty of comfort.
I recommend sizing up to a large.
Probably.
If you're unsure, check out a wetsuit store. Wetsuits for triathletes are available.

I swam the Escape from Alcatraz course, which takes about 45 minutes in 56°F ocean water. This is very comfortable, and it doesn't chafe your neck or armpits in the least. With this, I could keep swimming indefinitely. br>br>However, because of the 'bib' design, all of the seawater comes in around your torso, similar to the air intake on an F-150. It's almost as if they're just a pair of swim trunks. During a swim, the top portion of the suit does not keep you warm. I'm not sure if it will work for surfing - I didn't even make an attempt. br>br>Others on the swim wore full-sleeved wetsuits and were fine, but I was freezing. (Others did it in speedos, but those were the exceptions. ) "Let's just say more well-received" is a phrase that comes to mind. I'm not as well-built as he is. )br>br>Due to the cold, I purchased a full-sleeved wetsuit, but it still chafed my neck on the first swim (despite a lot of bodyglide). But, to be honest, I was toasty warm.
I bought it so that I could go whitewater rafting. I had been renting the suits and was irritated when I learned that they were being used to pee in. I figured I'd better go ahead and get one of my own. Regardless, the water temperature was around 69 degrees Fahrenheit, and I stayed warm all day. Even if the water had been ten degrees colder, I think I would have been fine. br>It was a perfect fit, though I did wear a long-sleeved water shirt underneath. Overall, if you're looking for a shorty wetsuit, this is a good option.
When the water is just a little too cold for your skin, this keeps you warm. I think the next time I buy one, I'll get one with full legs because my white thighs can't take it. I stand 6'3" tall with a long toro. The Large is a little snug on my crotch and can be uncomfortable at times, but I believe an extra large would be a little looser in the waist, so this one is fine.
I used it for river running and it was ideal because it allowed me to move my arms without being restricted by the neoprene arms while still keeping my core warm in the 50-degree Arkansas River water. In the Utah mountains, it will also be ideal for wakeboarding and wakesurfing behind the boat.
I couldn't tell the difference between a 3xl and a 2xl size. Make the decision to purchase a size 2xl. It fits perfectly; it's a tight fit right now, but it'll expand as time goes on.
It's ideal for the summer months in Southern California. It's a perfect fit, and it arrived quickly. I've used it five times since it arrived and have had no issues.
This suit is fantastic, and I only wish I had purchased it sooner. In 68-degree weather, it has kept me toasty. water with a temperature of 32 degrees.
I use it to swim laps in a public pool and it's fantastic. The armholes are large enough that arm movements do not bind you. It's a thin suit, so it won't overheat you, and it's ideal for long lap sessions of an hour or more. The material and construction are of excellent quality. The additional cost was well worth it.
