Questions & Answers

5'11", 185 pounds, 35" waist, 39" chest What size are you looking for?

I'm 5'11" and weigh 195 pounds, with a 36" waist and 40" chest, and I ordered a size XX large. It fits perfectly, with a half-inch extra length at the ankles. I don't go scuba diving; I only use my kayak on cold days. I had rented a wetsuit while ocean kayaking in Pismo Beach and was unable to fit into the X large they recommended for my height and weight. However, it is not the same brand of wetsuit.

What country does it come from?

China

Is this a closed-cell suit or an open-cell one?

These are wetsuits with a closed cell structure.

Will an XL fit me if I'm 6'2" and 230 pounds?

No, they're a tad on the small side.

Selected User Reviews For NeoSport Men's Premium Neoprene 5mm Waterman John Wetsuit

Review of the entire suit I bought an entire set of Neosport wetsuits to use for surf fishing, so I'll go over all of them together to see how they feel, fit, and function in these conditions
5/5

When I go fishing in the winter, I like to wade out in the rough surf, but waders are dangerous because they can fill up with water. br>br>I have no affiliation with the company; I simply purchased the bottoms first, liked them, and decided to purchase a matching set. ***FIT**

***FIT I stand 5'7" tall and weigh 165 pounds. I wear pants with a 30 inch inseam and a 30 inch waist, but my chest measures 42 inches, so I need a 16 1/4 inch shirt to cover my neck. My arms and legs are somewhat large as a result of years of lifting weights on and off. A 9 is what I require. Depending on the brand and fit, shoes can be 5 or 10 wide. neoprene 7/5mm Vented Bib Hood: neoprene 7/5mm Vented Bib Hood: neoprene 7/5mm Vented Bib Hood: neoprene I purchased an extra large hood and it fits perfectly; simply measure your head and use the size guide; the neck is also comfortable and does not constrict. At the temples, there is a small gap - where your face curves inward a little - However, I do not believe that this is possible to avoid. neoprene 5mm Waterman Wetsuit Jacket: neoprene 5mm Waterman Wetsuit Jacket: neoprene 5mm Waterman Wetsuit Jacket: neoprene For a few reasons, I chose a large 5mm. (1) I tried on a medium from a different brand and it was too tight in the biceps and shoulders. Although I understand that wetsuits are supposed to be snug, this was extremely uncomfortable. (2) I have shoulder issues and am no longer as flexible as I once was. I'd like to be able to take this jacket off and on without too much difficulty. I'm going surf fishing, not diving, so I want to be able to take it off if it gets too hot, and then put it back on when it gets too cold. It is well-fitting in the leg, chest, and shoulders areas. It's a little baggy around the waist, so I wear a belt to keep it in place. The arms fit well, but the wrists are a little loose and allow water to enter. I'm a large in most places, but a medium around the waist and wrists. This was the best option for me because I've worn it off and on several times at the beach with no issues. Without a cowl or hood, the neck opening will let plenty of water in. 5mm Neoprene Waterman John Wetsuit: br>br>Neoprene 5mm Waterman John Wetsuit: br>br>Neoprene 5mm Waterman John Wet In 5mm, medium. It's a perfect fit for me, but I can see how it would be a problem if you're tall. or simply a torso that is too long - It's possible that you'll have to go up a size. The crotch is roomy, and the leg length is adequate, but the shoulder strap is a little tight around my chest - But not in an uncomfortably so way. The cuffs around the ankles are quite tight. For my 30" waist, the waist is a little baggy, but with a belt, it's fine. br>br>3mm Neoprene Glove: The medium was a good choice. I usually wear medium gloves, and these are the right size for me. neoprene 7mm Hi Top Zipper Boot: neoprene 7mm Hi Top Zipper Boot: neoprene 7mm Hi Top Zipper Boot: neoprene 7 Size 10 Hi Top Boots with a 7mm heel. A 9 is my usual size. It's usually a 5 wide, but a 10 is occasionally required. Because these didn't specify a width, I chose 10. They're actually too big, and my foot moves around a lot when I wear them. Because my feet get cold easily, I ordered 2mm liner socks, which fit perfectly with them. 2mm Premium Water Sock: br>br>2mm Premium Water Sock: br>br>2mm Premium Water Sock: br> Size 8. Size 8 it is. The reviews are accurate in that they are quite lengthy. 8 is a good fit and matches my boots perfectly. ***QUALITY**

owing to everything I've worn the suit to the beach several times with no problems, and I've even walked across pavement in my boots with no problems. The beach is full of tiny, sharp shells, and I sit and/or kneel frequently, but the knees and elbows appear to be in good condition. When I get home, I give the entire suit a thorough rinse with fresh water and hang it to dry. I've sweated a couple of times but haven't noticed any odors. ***COMFORT**
It's not bad for what it is. If the fishing is good, I move around a lot; if the fishing is slow, I sit. I do wear a long sleeve rash guard and extra long boxer briefs underneath the suit to protect my skin from chaffing and blisters. The suit has been on me for the longest period of time - 8 hours. I was ready to get out and shower, but I was still fine; the hood is the least comfortable part. It's difficult to eat, drink, or talk while it's draped over your chin - But it is what it is, and if it were any looser, it would not work. I usually take a break by pulling it down around my neck and then putting it back when I get too cold. ***WARMTH**
This is difficult to quantify. Despite the fact that I live in Florida, I am easily chilled. Our water temperature can drop to 55 degrees in the winter, but the air temperature will remain in the 40s. I was fine until the wind picked up on a day when the air temperature was 42 degrees and the water temperature was 62 degrees. 10- My feet, hands, and face were cold due to the 15 knot winds, but the rest of my body was fine. I was actually more comfortable in the water because it blocked out the wind. My head is 7mm thick, my torso and upper thighs are 10mm thick, my arms and legs are 5mm thick, my hands are 3mm thick, and my feet are 9mm thick. With the temperature in the 60s, I'll only be wearing my bottoms and a waterproof jacket. To northerners, this may seem absurd, but Floridians are extremely sensitive to the cold: ***FUNCTIONALITY**

***IT WORKS**
***IT WORKS**
***IT WORKS**
***IT You will be soaked, as the name implies. But it's not a problem for me. I also got wet while trying on waders, dry tops, and other clothing, but I remained cold. You don't get wet, but water seeps in through cracks in the floor and spreads to other areas. Only my feet get wet if I go in up to my chest and stay for a short time. The large top provides plenty of space for me to cast. In the 3mm gloves, I can easily cut bait, use snap swivels, and cast my traditional reels. However, I am unable to tie knots and do not use spinning rods. If I get too hot, I simply go inside and turn on the faucet to cool down. br>br>However, there is one benefit that far outweighs the rest. The beaches in Florida are crowded all year. Even in the dead of winter, you'll see people collecting shells, families taking walks, and happy Canadians swimming like it's August - Three cups of coffee later, it's time to call it a day. You're 15 minutes away from the restrooms, and you've already set up your gear. You can either wait for a break in the beach traffic (which may never come), or you can go anyway and risk offending people (and possibly being arrested). Neither of these are viable options for a man in his fifties. You simply put on the wetsuit and it washes away the next time you get in the water. If you think I'm a jerk, you're probably right. It's possible that you're correct. However, any diver or surfer will tell you - That's how things are. When I get home, I clean my suit to ensure that no stains or odors remain. ***OVERALL**

It's not a particularly good suit
4/5

This is a very nice suit. This is probably my 50th suit in a career as a commercial diver, mostly in dry suits. In Southeast Asia, this is my fifth wetsuit. THE FIRST FOUR COULD NOT BE PUT ON, ranging in size from 2x to 4x. One of them (the 4x, which was noticeably smaller than the 2x) actually broke apart while trying. You should be extremely cautious when ordering suits online, as many of them now come from CHINA and run 1-size-fits-all. IF YOU'RE LUCKY, you'll be 3 sizes smaller than everyone else. Knee pads were included in this suit, but the center of the kneecaps aligned with the EDGE of the pads, rendering them nearly useless. Here are the measurements for size: I am 6'2. 5", 217 lbs. , 44" chest, 43" waist 3X is a good fit, though the crotch area is a little baggy. It's not necessary to have a tight fit in this situation - You'll need a large amount of water exchange. I could have gotten a 2x from this seller, but it would have been too tight and semi-semi-semi-semi-semi-semi-semi-semi-s unsatisfactory 5mm is too hot for this application, but there were no other options available when the order was placed. To keep cool, I can only wear the lower half. It cost me $140 to ship here alone. As a result, it's far too expensive (and difficult to return). However, $60 with minimal shipping is acceptable in a normal country. The Chinese suits aren't bad, but there aren't any in my size. When ordering from Amazon, keep in mind that the majority of the items are sized for Chinese people. It's a waste of both your and their time. There will be no more trips to China. Why aren't the sizes being standardized? There is a rationale for this. It's self-evident if you think about it long enough (or if you live here), and it has nothing to do with Chinese people being shorter.

This is clean and new, I am 6'4" about 180, thin and muscular, this does not cling tight to me around the belly and back, I'm just a bit tall and it wedges around my taint so my cock n balls are constantly fondled left then right with every step, and it would be impossible to hide any bad timing bonner brought on by beautiful women while confined
5/5

I went outside in very cold weather and felt no wind or cold in this NY snow storm cold year 10 outside, I bought this product so I could Kayak down the creek in April and the icy water wouldn't burn my privets this time, I'll field test it and report back to you guys.

It's not a 5mm issue, it's a sizing issue
3/5

What should I start with? These are full-size small shoes. As a result, you'd have to go up a size. I usually wear an XL, but based on other reviews, I decided to go with an XXL. The more serious issue was that it was far too SHORT. My height is only 6' 0". This would have been a good fit for someone 5'9" or shorter. Otherwise, the full size up was fine, and I was able to pull it up over my shoulders. However, I was concerned that it would harm the suit. It was that brief. br>br>There was another significant issue. A 5mm wetsuit, in my opinion, was not present. It was probably 3mm at the time, but not any longer. This is a case where you get exactly what you pay for.

I really like this wetsuit because it's very warm and easy to maneuver in
4/5

Fit as expected, and with the matching 5mm jacket suit, kept me pretty warm in a recently frozen lake in northern Montana. I will say that getting out of the wetsuit is extremely difficult, but that is to be expected with a properly sized thick wetsuit. Excellent quality at an excellent price, and a very satisfied customer. I will definitely purchase from Neosport again in the future.

I was sent the incorrect thickness at first, but it was a good product at a good price
5/5

Instead of the 5mm, I got a 7mm. That stuff is thick as a brick. I ended up returning it for a 2mm instead.

Material is of good quality

The size was wrong. runs on a small scale. Apart from that, it's a fantastic product. a good thickness that appears to be well-made and keeps you warm.
