Questions & Answers
It depends on your natural buoyancy, but it will assist you in staying afloat to some extent. It is not a flotation vest.
It doesn't ride up on me, but it also doesn't bother me. br>I bought it to go scuba diving with.
I bought it to keep warm while training for a triathlon in the ocean. My arms were free to swim laps because they were unrestricted. It kept me feeling energized and warm. I'm not sure I'd use it to swim laps on its own because my bottom half wouldn't be buoyant enough.
It is extremely light. 3mm neoprene is used. 12 ounces to 14 ounces

I ordered a larger size because I knew wetsuits run small and assumed the sizing was Asian sizes, but I had to return them because they were too big. The replacement product was out of stock for eight weeks, but it arrived in six. There appears to be a seasonal pattern to the delay. I placed my order in January, but it was quickly backordered, presumably due to Spring Break visitors. These were out of stock in most sizes for weeks during the summer, so get them while they're still available. I purposefully did not purchase a female vest because I have found that form-fitting female wetsuits are uncomfortable and poorly fitting for anyone with a B cup or higher, and the shorter cut tends to roll up, especially if you do not have a flat stomach. The vest is longer when ordered in the mens/unisex size. It's true to size for a snug fit in a wetsuit. If you plan on swimming laps in a cold pool/ocean or paddle boarding, go up a size to ensure a more comfortable fit. (The larger the arm hole, the more generous it becomes, but too large an arm hole and water pours in, defeating the purpose of warming). Sizing up is a good way to avoid chafing. Regular size is recommended for a snug fit in a wetsuit.
It's a lovely jacket with a good feel to it. However, I find it to be too constricting. I ordered a medium (I'm 5'7", 160 lbs, waist 31, bust 39) based on the size chart. The medium vest, on the other hand, was a little too snug. Perhaps I was given one with a poor cut. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's still a lovely and high-quality vest. All you have to do now is find one that is appropriate for you.
I am 6' 35" with a 35" waist and a 41" chest, which is exactly "large" according to the chart. No way, I'd wear this; it's far too tight and difficult to zip. Perhaps it's due to a bad fit. As mentioned by others. I'll never use it because it's a left-handed zipper, and I can't comment on how well it works in the water because I'll never use it.
I bought this vest and a pair of 1. Shorts with a thickness of 5mm for use in Florida during the winter. My ability to stay in the water with my daughter is limited because she is unaffected by the cold. Our time together was made more enjoyable by the vest and shorts combination, which made the cool water bearable. The zipper is sturdy, with just enough neoprene material coverage to keep skin from becoming irritated. Fit: br>br>Size: br>br>Size: br>br>Size I bought a medium vest, which fit perfectly around the chest but was a little loose around the waist. I am 5'4" tall, with a 30" waist and a 38" chest, and I believe this would be ideal for someone with a 32-inch waist. I had a tailor take in the waist area by 1" on each side to improve the fit and the vest's insulation properties - 33" waist This helped to keep me warm by making it tighter.
I'm 200 pounds, 5'10", and have a 38 waist, so I ordered a 2xl. The chest was slightly snug, but the abdomen was too loose, causing the vest to ride up once wet. It might be better suited to being worn under an outer layer or attached to a pair of wetsuit shorts to keep it from riding up.
XL is a good size to go with. It's snug, as it should be for maximum cold insulation. My specs: 6'2", 200 lbs, 42" bust, 38" waist; the waist is a little loose but acceptable; I may sew it up to tighten it up for a perfect fit. Armpits are fine; the neckline is a little tight, but lowering the zipper an inch lowers this. All of the materials and zippers are of good quality. I plan on using it for snorkeling in the ocean. I'm very pleased.
I get cold very easily, particularly when diving. So I wore it over a rash guard in 80-degree water in Mexico, and I was always completely comfortable, despite a severe thermocline one day. I didn't even need my 3mm jacket because this vest was so comfortable; however, it does run a little small. I'm glad I ordered a medium because it was the perfect size. I'm 5'4' tall, 125 pounds, and have a typical torso size. Normally, I'd go for the small. So it's probably best to go up a size. This product comes highly recommended, and it comes at a great price.
This is an excellent product. It's made with a lot of care and attention to detail. I tried it on dry and it seemed to fit perfectly, so I considered myself fortunate. Then I got in the water and there was a lot of water sloshing around inside; it still helped, but I think a wetsuit is just a very difficult thing to buy online without trying it on first. However, it will almost certainly be much more expensive in a store, so if you don't live near one, this is a viable option.
