Because this paddle is so light, I'm not sure if I should bring it as a safety paddle. If you tighten it too much, it feels like it might snap. The handle and paddle were never in sync. Otherwise, it appears to be a good paddle toy for children's boats.
These collapsible paddles are quite good. My gripe is that after using the paddles, unlocking the twist connectors is difficult. Arrows indicating lock/unlock direction, as well as non-slippery locking nuts, would be helpful.
I just used these while floating down the river today. On the water, it was extremely useful for navigating around trees and faster rapids. Only four stars because the locking collapsible sections aren't grippier, making it more difficult to lock and unlock them.
It appears to meet the needs of a small fishing boat's emergency aid.
The only issue I've had is collapsing the paddle after use. It has a strange twist lock that locks in both directions, making it difficult to loosen the lock when you can't tell if you're locking or unlocking the paddle. br>Other than that, everything works fine.
It works perfectly and is well-made.
Floating down the river with these paddles is a breeze! Our only gripe is that the handles tend to fill up with water.
