The rusted jack on my boat trailer was just a year old, so I used this to repair it. It has been my experience that Fulton tongue jacks are very simple to install and hold up well over time. It's nice to have the grease fitting on the jack, I'm sure this will last much longer than the original It was a surprise to me that the jack did not come with it's own retail box, but was packed loosely in a big box with a bolt bag taped on. So far, there are no signs of damage in the shipping box, so who knows.
The finish is nice and bright. I could not believe how quickly it fitted on my Eagle trailer. There was a welded mounting on my trailer that a single bolt had to pass through. Despite the missing bolt through, I had to drill out the hole for the lever because it was a bit larger than originally designed. There is no indication of any problems with quality. The finish is nice and bright. The grease fitting makes it easy to lubricate. I had no issues with the operation. This product comes with a separate mounting bracket that doesn't require bolt-through installation.
Only the jack was included in my package no mounting hardware was included.
The software performs exactly.
It is difficult for me to understand the difference between the Fulton 1200 lb jacks that are listed on Amazon. It sounded as if all product descriptions were similar. It's perfect. It's easy to put together. The best quality available.
I was looking to replace the original OEM jack on a 20 year old boat trailer and this fitted the bill perfectly. Towing a 20ft Malibu ski boat with a tandem trailer is my main source of enjoyment. A grease zerk on the crank makes it easier to clean.
It is extremely reasonably priced, it is much stronger than the competition, and it's well built. There is no reason to think it won't last too long.
