We took the boat out yesterday, and it didn't go well. There is so much noise coming from this prop. There would be no escaping the knocking noise as every fish within 50 yards would hear it. It is a common problem, and I read another review about it, but did not follow its advice. I wouldn't recommend this item.
It is just that they resist weeds. Weeds wrap around props and housing when they come into contact. Taking the motor out requires a lot of effort. a Katana 2 blade has so far proven to be pretty successful for me on my quest. Herbicides work very well at chopping up weeds before they grow and Despite my best efforts, I have not yet raised the motor. There is a sacrifice however, as the design has only two blades. Trolling motors are faster than I expected, compared with my previous 3 blade props. As far as I am concerned, this is not a bad trade-off. The trolling motor should be cleaned off more often rather than fished.
There is not much difference between this one and the previous one, except for the slight increase in The difference between 1 mph and 3 mph is significant. Plus 5 CV)! 3 mph! Definitely not the stock prop, but it's definitely an upgrade from the "stock" one!.
The cost of the new trolling motor kept me from buying one. Purchased a boat with a 46lb thrust that has been stored in the past 10 years. The 600$ motor I was going to buy would not cut through the grass and slop and I would have to buy a new one. It is totally worth a try. I thought I would try the Katana blade before moving on to the other blades. It really works well, even with just 46lbs of thrust, to cut through grass. Highly.
I have no problem using it with Sadly, I cannot tell if the battery life was extended, but the motor seems to operate a lot more quietly and smoothly than it did with the original I was very pleased with the quick shipping and the legitimacy of the product.
After purchasing this product and installing it on our trolling motor in about 10 minutes, it enhanced the speed of our 18 foot inflatable dinghy by I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a prop for their motor (side note, make sure you purchase the right size prop for your motor before purchasing this product).
These two blades are more energy-efficient when it comes to battery usage. There are no data that I have, just perceptions.
Replaced it with a three-bladed set. In all aspects, it has made a difference. Our 24 volt system is great for dealing with weeds, speed, power, and battery life.
