I got the correct reading at last! I never imagined that replacing the water tank sensor on my Hunter 340 (US built boat) would result in incorrect readings for the water gauge

But I found out, after some digging, both gauges fitted by the factory were European. In the end, we had to replace the gauge as well, so it would read correctly. At empty, the American Standard meter will read 240 ohms, and at full, it will read 30 ohms. The meter will show 0 ohms at empty and 180 ohms at full for European Standard. Thanks for reading!
