This should be the case since most of the 500's parts are interchangeable with those on the 88.

I give it five stars for customer service and the product itself is good

Opened the dove season with it and passed the game warden's test. 4 stars for the product because it rattles a bit inside the magazine. 5 stars for customer service because the first one I received was broken in half and I only had a week until the season began. As a result of an exchange of emails with the company, they sent me a new one the next day, which I received two days earlier than expected.

It is easy to install and is identical to the original

Exactly what I was looking for! The installation process is simple. Fortunately, the replacement rod is exactly the same as the original Mossberg rod, for much greater durability.

The O rings would not fit through the tube, so I ended up going with a wooden dowel that I could have made myself for less money.
