A bolt with a flathead screwdriver head is illustrated in the product picture. There is no indent on the item that I received, and the unit cannot be installed without an extensive extension of the socket driver.
My shotgun stock was attached to rifle stock with two rifle stock bolts that I ordered. We ordered a replacement part after Amazon assured us they would ship the correct part. They did not! According to the picture you provided, it appears to be a Mossberg site shot showing a slotting head on the bolt, which is exactly what I need to replace. However, on both occasions, you sent a socket type bolt. I can use it, but it will also add extra costs to the project.
The Houge synthetic stock fit like it was supposed to when I installed it.
I have a Mossberg 500 that fits The pistol grip was gone and I wanted a full stock instead. purchased this along with stock from another site and it was exactly what I was looking for. Having a hex-head screw instead of a screw that could strip is easier on my hands.
I can't say much about the factory part except that it works and fits as expected.
I have tested this with Mossberg 500 20g and it works as intended.
I used this bolt to put my new stock on my Mossberg. At first I thought it was too small as I couldn't screw it in with my hex wrench (slotted bolt), but after taking it to my local gunsmith it was the perfect size. I was able to attach my stock without any problems.
An example of a replacement bolt with a flathead screwdriver slot is shown in the picture. You will receive a bolt with no slot, which can be modified with a hacksaw or Dremel if you wish to install it. It is also too big for the washer provided.
