Questions & Answers
Yes, a standard mouth straw lid fits perfectly on a simple modern ascent bottle.
The straw lid is a perfect fit for my Hydro Flask 21 oz and Hydro Flask 24 oz. Other than that, I'm not sure.
I no longer have the package, and there is no stamp on the lid indicating whether it was made in the United States or elsewhere. I'm assuming it's made outside of the United States based on the lack of a Made in USA label.
I am 99% sure it Won't Fit. Apart from the brand names, Contigo's threads are on the bottle, whereas Hydroflask's are on the lid. Although I haven't double-checked, I am the owner of both.

It's simple to open and close, and it's as easy to drink through as a regular cap. It's also very leak-proof and attractive on the bottle, and it twists open and closed as easily as a regular cap. The rubber tip adds a little more quality to the cap. The straws that come with it are removable and easy to use. The cleaner is a gimmick, but it's nice to have. br>br>However, the handle is a little sucky. It digs into your fingers and is uncomfortable to use when carried because it's so thin and cheaply made. Also, the handle can get in the way when you're tilting up to drink. The handle on a regular cap is undeniably superior. This deserves to be docked a star. br>br>Aside from that, I don't think this cap has any flaws. It's certainly preferable to having to twist open a massive cap every time you want to drink. Much more convenient, and well worth the $8.
It fulfills all of my requirements, but there are a few minor flaws, the first of which is the handle's shape in relation to the straw. It's a little awkward, and the straws are made of plastic. This defeats the purpose of using a hydroflask in the first place. However, it is effective. br>Update: The rubber mouthpiece has a hole in it after only one month. It's still usable, but it'll soon reach its limit. I could tell it was low-cost, but that is absurd.
I didn't want to use (or have to clean) the straws, so I figured I could just tip the bottle back and drink, but the loop on the lid (which is hard plastic and not soft) will hit your nose. I'm sure the lid will work fine if you plan to suck the drink up with the straws, but I'm not fond of the design for my purposes and plan to replace it with one that pivots the loop out of the way.
It's best to use a straw top. This works well, but because it's a smaller straw, you won't be able to drink as quickly as you'd like. Some water spouts through the top of the bottle when it gets hot and the water inside is cold. It's nothing major, but it's worth keeping an eye on. It is still recommended.
I recently purchased a 24 oz hydro flask and went to the hydro flask website to look for a straw lid, but they don't make any for smaller sizes; (I bought this one in the hopes that it would work, and it does. ) It's incredibly simple to drink through, especially with the included detachable straw. I was concerned that it would make a loud slurping noise like some other straw lids, but it is nearly silent. The only criticism I have is that the handle isn't as comfortable to hold as the original screw-in handle. It's worth it to not have to spend 10 seconds every time you want a drink screwing the lid off. This lid is well worth the money for the price.
This was an excellent substitute for drinking from a bottle. When the cap isn't tightened all the way, it leaks a little.
I like how these fit my hydro flask, but after only a week of use, the seal inside the straw came out, making it impossible to drink from it. I threw it away because I thought it was a fluke. I tried a different one and it did the exact same thing! Unfortunately, these will not last.
It's a perfect match for the hydro flask. Otherwise, due to its narrowness, drinking from the straw is difficult. The plastic handle is also very rough cut, and it digs into your fingers when you're carrying it. When drinking, the cut out of the handle also makes it difficult to fit your lips around the spout because it smashes into your nose. I wouldn't recommend it for adults; perhaps a child's face would be more appropriate. Overall, I don't think it's a good idea to buy it.
