Selected User Reviews For Ultimate Guard Boulder 100+ RTE Deck Case Natural
The Ultimate Guard Boulder Deck boxes are a fantastic way to keep my EDH decks organized. The RTE Natural Case is my third UG Boulder purchase (the other two being the 2020 Exclusive and Malachit). Overall, this purchase has not disappointed me. I bought it because I liked the idea of using renewable resources in a product. That, combined with the low price, convinced me to give it a shot. br>br>While I consider this to be a 5-star product, it is far from flawless. The main problem I have with it is that both the lid and the main body of the box are bowed in the middle (see image attached). It's a little tricky to get any deck in there because of this. Although it is not impossible, it can be inconvenient. This problem does not exist in my other two boxes. Another issue I have with this case is that, despite being textured, it is still smooth. Again, the texture of my other two boxes is grippy. This has the texture of a river rock, which makes it difficult to hold and more likely to fall out of my hands. Finally, it has a distinct earthy aroma. It appeals to me, but I can see where it might be problematic for others. I'm not sure if it'll show up on my sleeves or cards, but I'll keep an eye (nose?) out for it. ) on it. br>br>I believe the problems I'm having are minor. I use these to store my EDH decks, which are sleeved in Dragonshield sleeves, as previously stated. This is important because a double-sleeved deck in KMC inner and DS outer sleeves will not fit in the 100 Boulders. I believe they should be able to hold a deck with UG inners and outer sleeves, but I honestly don't know because I don't own either. It's also a plus that I can fit four of them in my Arkhive 400. It's a nice and secure closure. It stayed closed after I dropped it from my desk onto a carpeted floor with the deck inside. The construction is solid, as it is with all of my other Boulders. 100% confidence in the safety of my decks in these environments.
My Boulder cases are one of my favorites. They're one of my go-to purchases. Based on positive feedback from others and the Tolarian Community College, I decided to give it a shot. Mine, unfortunately, arrived broken. In terms of the walls, it's a good deck box, but I'm not sure how long it will last, so I had to lower the Durability rating. I like the way it looks and feels, and I like that I can toss it in the recycle bin if I ever decide to leave the card game scene. br>br>However, given that this one arrived cracked, I'm hesitant to buy another. I'm afraid it will worsen with time, but we'll have to wait and see.
This one has a great feel to it and closes securely. On YouTube, you can see a review of Tolarian Community College.
My commander deck is safely stored in an Earth mixed deck box.
Worth it.
These are of a poor quality. The pieces are bowed and do not fit well together. When the box is closed, there are gaps. Boulders do not stay closed as well as normal Boulders. br>br>From now on, I'll stick with regular Boulders.
Box is very sturdy.
